The boys basketball team fell to 3 and 4 after losing to Illing yesterday 68-44. The game was tight throughout until a fourth quarter run by the Rams sealed the victory. Great shooting kept the Cougars in the game, led by Damian Ayala who was 8 for 10 from the three point line. The boys play Tolland on Friday at home looking to even their record and get into the playoff race.
The Outdoor Education Club has three upcoming trips. We will be snow tubing at Powder Ridge on January 31st, then it’s a rock climbing adventure on February 28th, and lastly we will be going to the South Windsor Arena for ice skating on March 28th. Please stop by the main office, see Mr. Wilkinson in room 112, or Ms. Nelson in room 251 for a form if you’re interested in any of these adventures.
The Lady Cougars were back in Action last night taking on the Illing Rams of Manchester. It was a hard-fought battle throughout however the Lady Cougars fell to the first place lady Rams 37-33. Ava Magarian led all scorers with 15 points including 2 from downtown. Olivia Petgrave had 8 points while Princess Black chipped in 5. It was the closest contest of the year for Illing. TE overcame adversity early on and fought hard every second of the contest. The Lady Cougars are off until next week when they take on East Hartford and Sage Park both away.
