  • Good Morning TE,
    • As you are aware, we have practice drills regularly, both evacuation and lockdown.  During our last lockdown drill there were a few things that we saw which require more attention.  First of all, when you hear that a lockdown is being announced, you must remain calm and silent so that you can hear the directives of your teachers.  You are to remain out of sight of the doorway and silent throughout the drill so not to call attention to yourselves.  If you are in a stairwell and come to a team area where all doors are already shut, you can go to the nearest bathroom, kick out the doorjamb  so that the door will shut and lock,  go into a stall and remain silent until the lockdown is over.  Remember, we practice so that we know what to do in the event of an emergency.  Your safety is our number one priority.  We will be practicing a lockdown drill in the cafeteria in the near future. Here’s to making 2019 your best year yet!!  Have a great day, work hard and ALWAYS STRIVE FOR FIVE plus one!
  • Activity Night will take place next Friday, January 11 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm.  We will have a DJ in the cafeteria so that we can dance, a movie in the library media center if you prefer a quiet activity and pin guard, whiffle ball, and volleyball in the gyms.  Tickets are $7.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door.  Ticket sales will start on Tuesday in the main lobby.  Buy your ticket and come join the fun.

  • And now here is Brian with the Joke of the week. Hey TE, are you ready for your weekly dose of cringe? What do you call Big Foot in pottery class?  Harry Potter! Brian Murdoch, TETV Morning News, Guys Back to You.
  • Attention students...Are you interested in improving your overall fitness or maybe you want to get in shape for the up and coming softball, baseball, or track season?  If so, there are still spots available for the Cougar Fitness Club.  This is an after school activity that starts on Wednesday, January 16.  Registration forms are due soon so pick up a form in the main office or see Mrs. G or Mr. S for more information.

  • Reminder that all applications and portfolios for the EXCEL IN ART PROGRAM are DUE today to any of the TE Art Teachers. NO late applications will be accepted.

  • Attention all 8th grade students:  Auditions for the South Windsor High School Show Choir "Choral Spectrum" will  be held in late February.  In preparation, three high school Choral Spectrum members will be holding clinics to sharpen skills for the audition.  The optional clinics will be held on Jan 8, 14 and 18 in the TEMS auditorium.  Please pick up a flyer located outside of the chorus room, room 145, for more information.

  • Are you interested in making a positive change in this world? Are you enthusiastic and caring? If you answered yes, then join us for the "Be the Change" TEAM activity! We will meet on Wednesday afternoons to work on service projects that will make a difference in our community. There is so much to be done! • The boys basketball team beat JFK middle school on Wednesday, 73-42. With a balanced attack on offense and a very good defensive effort, the boys outscored JFK 28 to 8 in the second quarter to secure the lead and give the cougars their first win of the season.

  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Scrambled Eggs, in the Grill line you can have Cuban Sandwich and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches.  Have a great day, do your best,  and remember to always strive for 5!
