  • Join Outdoor Education Club for a stand up paddle boarding and kayaking trip at Collinsville Canoe & Kayak on Saturday, June 9th.  If you are interested, please stop by the main office, Mr. Wilkinson’s room, or Ms. Nelson’s room for a form.  Forms are due back by Friday, June 8th.

  • Congrats to the lady cougars track team on fifth win of the season!  Yesterday afternoon, the girls won again JFK of Enfield with the final score of 85 to 20.  The girls dominated the 400, 100, 800, long jump, and hurdles- scoring all the points in those events.  Not only did the girls sweep many events, many of the girls had personal season bests.  Riley Baker had a season best in the hurdles, Morgan Reed threw her farthest in shot put, Ayushi Bhattacharjee flew past runners in the 100, Ella Luangpraseuth out-threw many JFK girls in the shot put and discus, and Katelyn and Alyssa Drenga finished strong in the 1600.  Great job ladies!  The girls have their last meet on Wednesday against Tolland.  Good luck ladies, let's have another win for an undefeated season!!

  • Cougars Baseball suffered another loss yesterday against Sage Park. TE's next home game is today against Tolland. 

  • TE Peer Mediators and the South Windsor Public Works are teaming up for the  ”Fill A Truck” Food Drive. Starting TODAY please bring in  nonperishable food items, canned goods and boxed foods, and help our school successfully fill a Public Works’ truck full of food. All donated food can be placed in a recycling bin in the lobby of the school. All the food that you donate will go to the South Windsor Food Bank. Please help support this wonderful cause!

  • Attention all MathCounts participants. You are invited to the Board of Education meeting tonight at 7:00. The meeting will be in Alt. 6. MathCounts will be spotlighted.  Please consider attending. If you can make it please wear your MathCounts tee shirt and if you have any questions please see your math teacher.  

  • Attention Mrs. Custer's 8th grade G period students.  Please report to room 364 today with study material. 

  • Attention Mrs. Hall's grade 8 for PE students: Please report to room 361 with study materials.  
  • Yesterday afternoon the Boys Track improved their season record to 3 wins and 2 losses with a win over JFK of Enfield.  The final score was 60 to 45.  The boys dominated in hurdles, the 400, long jump, shot put, and discus.  Andrew Bell won the hurdles race followed closely by Daniel Wang and Ethan LaGuardia.  In the 400, Sam Meleshenko ran to a 1st place finish while Noah Faraci took 2nd.  In long jump Andrew Bell and Kyle Sullivan took the 1st and 3rd place spots.  And, the dynamic trio of Phillip Martin, Wyatt Cote, and Emeka Okoh swept both shot put and discus.  Phillip place 1st in shot put and 2nd in discus, Emeka took 1st in discus and 3rd in shot put, and Wyatt placed 2nd in shot put and 3rd in discus.   And continuing their winning streak, the 4 by 400 relay team of Hakim Montgomery, Noah Faraci, Nikhil Kikanamada, and Sam Meleshenko ran away from the competition to finish 1st with a time of 4 minutes, 21 seconds.  Congrats to all the boys on a job well done!  The boys will finish their season on Wednesday against Tolland. 
  • Reminder to both the Girls and Boys Track teams:  there is no practice today.  Please go home on your regular bus.
  • "Do you like PE class or like to play games?  If so, then TEPEE camp is just for you.  There will be many different types of activities being offered such as Pinguard, Handball, Basketball and Flag Football, just to name a few.  TEPEE dates are June 25-29th from 830-12pm here at TE.  If you are interested, please sign up through the recreation department or pick up a bright green form in the main gym or your health class.  Any questions?  Please see Miss Gasparino.  Thanks!  

  • Have you seen this year’s colorful issue of Out of the Blue?  Isn’t it amazing!  Well, if you did not submit to the magazine, you can still have your own copy!  You should even get your friends to sign their amazing work!  You never know, it could be worth a lot one day!  Copies of our magazine will be sold for $2 in Ms. Olsen’s room, room 312 in the Garnet hallway.  Your support by buying a copy of our magazine will help us as we try to reach new goals to expand our magazine and add new features next year!

  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have General Tsos Chicken. In the Grill line you can have Chicken Nuggets and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best, remember to always strive for 5!
