TE Morning News - 3/27/18 
  • “Hi TE!  The deadline for submitting to Out of the Blue is rapidly approaching.  You don’t want to be left out!  Remember, you could win an Amazon gift card for winning our cover contest, our poetry contest, or our Strive for Five contest.  However, we also accept drawings, short writings, photography, comic strips and other fun pieces.  We would love to have more submissions so get yours in before Friday April 6, which is the last day before April break.  Many thanks to the people who already submitted such as Adrien Le, Karen Luo and Abby Peruccio.  To members of Out the Blue, we will meet on Monday April 2 immediately after school in room 312.  This is an important meeting, so please be sure to attend.”

  • Attention all BOYS trying out for the Track team:  Tryouts for the boys’ team will begin today.  Please change right after school and meet the coaches in the main gym.  Tryouts will be held until 4:30.  There are no late buses today so make sure you have a ride home at 4:30 pm.  Bring a water bottle and be prepared to go outside.  

  • Do you love golf or do you want to learn how to play?  Join Mr. Chandler this spring for GOLF at Willow Brook.  Starting on April 4th, you can hit the links and work on your game.  Please see Mr. Chandler in the main gym for more information - or - you can sign up through the South Windsor Recreation Department.  Registration begins on March 29th and there are only 16 spots available - so act fast.  Who knows, you may even be able to make a hole in one!  And just like the Masters, Golf at Willowbrook "is a tradition unlike any other".   Remember, sign up starting March 29th.  Hope to see you on the links.

  • Thank you again to everyone who voted in round 3 of the March Madness Book Bracket. Voting for round 4, or the top 2 books, begins today and runs through the end of the school day on Monday, April 2nd. To vote, go the main LMC page, click on March Madness Book Bracket and then Round 4.  Come to the LMC to cast your vote, or do so from home.
  • Mrs. Longdin needs to reschedule this week's Wednesday Science Olympiad meeting to Thursday.  Wednesday's meeting is cancelled.  If you can attend on Thursday, that would be great!

  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have General Tso's Chicken. In the Grill line you can have Chicken Nuggets and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best, and remember to always strive for 5!
