  • Congratulations to the 33 TEMS Students who joined more than 200 other middle school debaters. All of whom participated in three rounds of debate on Saturday in an online tournament sponsored by the Connecticut Middle School Debate League. The debaters argued for or against the Motion: This House believes that televised Presidential Elections do more harm than good. Special shout out to the Team that dubbed the Nirvana Mad Hatters who were the only undefeated team representing Timothy Edwards Middle School. This team was comprised of Jackson Poulin, Caleb Beaulieu and Logan Donovan. The next League competition will be Saturday February 27th with the Civics First two person team debate coming up on January 7th. The TEMS Debate Club is always seeking new members and interested students can always join the Google Classroom using code: f7qmfoq
  • In January, all students will take the district winter benchmark assessment, the STAR assessment, remotely.   This computer based assessment measures certain knowledge and skills in both math and reading.  The test begins at 8:45 both days, with math on Wednesday, January 6, and reading Thursday, January 7.  Students, please be on time to your Homeroom Google Classroom, work on this test independently, and remember to try your best.
  • Attention Entertainers: Backdrops may be picked up today 7:30am-3:30pm.  Come to the main entrance, push the call button and the safety officer can let you/your parents into the vestibule where you will see the bulletin board paper.  Leads have the green paper with their names on it; ensemble members can select from yellow, pink, red, blue, or purple paper.  If you don't have an opportunity to pick up the paper, you can film in front of a solid color blank wall.
