He is a Manchester based poet who has been influenced by the strength, wisdom and humor of his mom, love for hip hop and people.  Because of his personal frustrations with his own educational experiences as a kid, Ryan  promised himself he would  bring golden noise into education to make it fun and empower youth to have a voice. He will be bringing in some of that fun with him next Monday. CLICK HERE to get a sneak peak to who he is and what he has done, like the poetry slams he hosts. Be ready for some high energy fun, and who knows, maybe you’ll find out you are interested in something you never gave any thought to!

  • Elijah McCoy - 1844 - 1929 (Inventor) - The son of former slaves from Kentucky who reached Canada on the Underground Railroad, Elijah McCoy was able to attend school in Edinburgh, Scotland to study mechanical engineering.  He had 57 patents, mostly working to improve steam engines, but never made much money for himself.  Others used Mr. McCoy’s inventions in theirs, making them millionaires.  His oil-drip cup invention was so amazing that people developed the term “The Real McCoy” to mean something original and of high quality.
