TE Morning News - January 10, 2019 (1)
  • The boys basketball team beat Ellington middle school yesterday 63-53.  A strong first quarter helped the Cougars build a lead.  After some early foul trouble, Ellington climbed back into the game but strong defense and timely shooting lead to the 10 point victory for the Cougars. The boys are now 3-2 and play East Hartford next week.

  • The Lady Cougars were on the hard wood once again last night, taking on the Wildcats of Ellington.  The game was a tough one from the opening tip and the Lady Cougars were unable to recover and get back into the game.  Nour Abunasra and Reagan Heafey-DeAngelis led the Lady Cougars with 6 and five points respectfully.  The next game for the Lady Cougars is next Wednesday against East Hartford at home.  Come out and cheer on the girls.  Tip in from the game: Cassie Polansky had 3 points, while Avery Brochu, Morgan Reed, Cassie Santiago, Sophia Bowers had 2 and Emerson Iacovelli had one.
