TE Morning News - December 5, 2019 
  • Boys Basketball Tryouts will take place - Friday 12/6 and Monday 12/9 from 2:45-4:30 pm.  Players are to change into athletic clothing in the boy's locker room and meet in the main gym. Tryouts will go until 4:30. Players are expected to have a ride at 4:30.  If you take the late bus at 4:10, please inform Coach McClay on the day of tryouts. Bring a water bottle if necessary.
  • Attention all students: This is the FINAL CALL for collection of any lost and found items. Please stop by the main lobby outside of the office this week to claim any item you may have misplaced,ALL left over items will be donated to Good Will at the end of the day o this Friday. Thank you.
  • Attention 6th Grade Students: Applications for 2020 Excel in Art program are due by tomorrow morning to Ms. Gravell in room 123.
  • A reminder to all 6th graders who signed up to audition for Aladdin, auditions will be held today. Please report to the auditorium immediately after school and be prepared to stay until late buses at 4:05.
  • Auditions for TETV News anchors for the second trimester will take place next Wednesday after school in the news studio. All interested students should be present to audition that day.
  • MathCounts will meet tomorrow morning.  Hope to see you there.  
  • Attention boys and girls cross country athletes: If you ordered a team or individual photo, please stop by Coach Nelson's room to pick up your order.
  • Timothy Edwards Making Strides is TE's Relay for Life team. Relay for Life is a fundraiser that helps cancer patients, survivors, and family members. We will be holding "Dinner and a Show" on Monday, Dec. 16, before the Band Concert. Families can bring a dish to share and have dinner together in the cafeteria beginning at 5:00. Sign-up forms will be distributed in band, and will also be available on the TE home page. Please join us for dinner, and a show. Thank you.
  • Jump Start will be held this afternoon. Please bring all of your supplies to the cafeteria immediately after school.  
  • Attention all 8th graders: A great opportunity is available to you!  The counseling department has been hosting  “business lunches” giving you a chance to talk to different people about their careers. It is now time to sign up for the December Business Lunch!  Are you interested in becoming a doctor?   Want to have a career in the medical field?  If so, this is your opportunity to have lunch with Dr. Kelley Sturrock who works at Hartford Hospital and CT Children’s Hospital. Come find out what it takes to become a doctor and what opportunities are available in the medical field! We are honored to have Dr. Kelley Sturrock during the 8th grade lunch on Thursday, December 19th.   If you’re interested, Please sign up in the counseling office immediately following the morning announcements today.  Space is limited to 15 students.
  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Chicken Parm, in the Grill line you can have Italian Meatball Sub and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a good day and do your best to strive for five!
