TE Morning News - October 24, 2019
  • Good morning TE! It's great to see so many people dressed in orange today! Some of you may be wondering "why orange"? Well, wearing orange means you are supporting a school and community that will accept and respect each other and we will NOT tolerate any teasing or bullying. This day is a reminder that, despite our differences, we should be treating each other with respect and kindness. We all don't have to be best friends, but we do owe each other the respect of being kind and accepting. So try to be mindful of how other people might be feeling. Maybe invite someone to sit with you if they are alone or say a kind word to a classmate or peer. Let's all join together and support the fact that, although we may not all be the same, we should be accepting each other for who and what we are. Have a GREAT day!
  • So awesome to see everyone showing their team spirit yesterday at the Walk-A-Thon! Hope you all remembered to wear orange today to support unity in our TE Community! And tomorrow, we all get to chill out in our comfy/cozy outfits. Just remember, no blankets or stuffed animals please.
  • Attention all students interested in being part of the cast or crew of this year's Entertainers production of Aladdin - there will be an informational meeting after school on Monday, November 4th in the auditorium.  Come with your backpacks and be prepared to stay until the 4:05 late buses.  Look forward to seeing you on November 4th!
  • Our 4th annual TEMS Walk-A-Thon was a great success! Students, staff, and the Cougars all had a fantastic time! Shout out to Mother Nature for holding off the rain.  And as of last night, we have raised over $16,000 just about $4,000 short of our $20,000 school goal. Thank you to all TEMS students, staff, family and friends for all your support so far! Keep up the great work!  Remember the pledge period will close next week on Thursday October 31st, so get those last-minute pledges in! We’ll be declaring the individual, team and grade winners after the close of the pledge period next week.  In the meantime, Brayden Childree is the top fundraiser so far for the 6th grade, Brock Kelly  is in the lead for 7th grade, and Tim Bortolan is still in the lead for 8th.  The Sage Team currently has the overall lead for the pizza party and 6th grade is in the top spot for earning the ice cream social! There’s still one week left, so keep up the great work! Another student, team or grade could swoop in before the pledge period ends!
  • That's right Champions - MathCounts starts this Friday morning at 7:00 in the cafeteria.  Be sure to bring a pencil, bring a calculator and  bring a friend.  Hope to see you there!
  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Soft Tacos, in the Grill line you can have Crispy Chicken Club and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a good day and do your best to strive for five!
