TE Morning News - May 30, 2019
  • Tomorrow is the last day of our spring spirit week. Lets do our best to show our school spirit for Friday by dressing up for Sports Day -  so come dressed to show off your favorite sports team (college or pro). Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

  • If you have BOX TOPS at home, please bring them to school so we can raise money for our PTO.  This money is used to fund field trips and other fun activities here at school.  Box Tops can be submitted to Mrs. Ruschmeier in room 314.

  • The collection for the food bank has been extended thru the end of this week! You have until Friday morning to donate a non-perishable item to help South Windsor families in need. The collection is being sponsored by the South Windsor Public Works department. Please help our community by bringing in some items and placing them in the bin located in the TEMS lobby. Items needed include snacks, juice boxes, cereal, rice, pasta, sauce, soup, canned fruit and toiletries. So remember to help our neighbors by supporting the S.W. Food Bank. Thank you!

  • The softball team played their best game of the year yesterday in the field and with the bats in an 11-5 victory over Tolland. The offense was led by Sienna Hart scoring 4 runs and getting 2 hits and Ava Shasha getting 3 hits. Sarah Kayam, Taylor Nisyrios, Lylah Henneman, Maggie Poulin, Aricka Bousa and Adrianna Peruccio all had hits. Leading the defense with outstanding plays were Lily McCully, Gabby Ryan, Adrianna Peruccio and a game ending catch by Ava Shasha. The girls play their last game on Friday.
  • This is a friendly reminder that all TE library materials are due back on Wednesday, June 6th. Students and staff, if you see any stray TE library books in the hallways or in your classrooms, please return them to the LMC. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thanks, Mrs. Longo.

  • The TEMS baseball team defeated Tolland on a cool and dreary Wednesday afternoon by a score of 9 to 3.  Ben Balducci picked up his fourth win of the season on the mound for the Cougars.  Offensively, Balducci helped his own cause with 3 singles and 2 runs scored.  Sam Pines doubled and had 2 RBI and Colin Heslin, Peyton West and Brayden Dill each had RBI singles for TE.  The win gives the Cougs a record of 9 wins and 2 losses.  They now have sole possession of first place in the CRAL.  TE finishes off its season at home today against JFK.  Come out to support the team!!!
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Sloppy Joe, in the Grill line you can have Philly Cheese Steak, and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches.  Have a great day, do your best and remember to always strive for 5!
