Congratulations to you!!

On another note, Mrs. Morgan Hostetler, who will be taking over after I leave, is anxious to meet you all.  She will be holding two opportunities for students to come meet her.  The first one is on Monday, June 3rd from 2:40 – 4:05 and the second is on Thursday, June 6th from 2:40-4:05.  She will be in our Library Media Center so stop by and say hello if you are available.

Last but certainly not least, last evening our Superintendent, Dr. Kate Carter, hosted an award presentation evening.  A fifth grade student from each of the town's elementary schools, an eighth grade student from TE and two SWHS school seniors receive the CT. Association of School's Superintendents Award.  The award recognizes students who are kind, genuine and true ambassadors of our school community.  It is my honor to announce that Daniel Nazeri from Pacific Team was the recipient from TEMS.  As Mrs. Longdin put it, "Daniel, you are our MARVEL". Congratulations, Daniel.  Also, congratulations to Mrs. Polito's daughter, Jessica was a SWHS recipient!! Have a great day, do your best and ALWAYS STRIVE FOR FIVE plus ONE!

  • The girls softball team played outstanding defense against Ellington yesterday Taylor Nirois pitched very well with 15 strikeouts. Ava Shasha made three catches in center field and threw a runner out at second base The play of the day was courtesy of catcher Sienna Hart throwing to shortstop Adrianna Peruccio to get a would be base stealer. On offense Laylean Garcia, Lylah Henneman led the way in the loss. The team plays again tomorrow at Illing School in Manchester.
  • The TE baseball team suffered their first lost of the season on Tuesday afternoon, losing to Ellington by a score of 6 to 5.  Andrew Goulet kept the Cougars in the game by pitching 5 innings of scoreless relief.  Offensively, TE was led by Joey Russo with 3 singles and 2 RBI.  Chipping in with 2 hits a piece were Ben Balducci, Peyton West, Sam Pines and Mike Foran.  TE remains in first place with a 6 and 1 record.  They play a home game Thursday against Illing of Manchester.  Come out to support the Cougs!!
