TE Morning News - November 8, 2018
  • Good morning TE - I’m here today to share some news with you.  I have submitted my letter of intent to retire as principal of this school, effective June 30th.  I have been in South Windsor for 34 years in the capacity of teacher and administrator and have enjoyed my journey over the years.  I am telling you this today because I shared this news with parents at my PTO meeting last night and I will share in a school message today, but I wanted to be sure that you heard this from me.  I love you all and you are the biggest part of my work that I will miss – but it’s time for me to explore other interests and……I’m here for the rest of this school year. As always, work hard, do your best and ALWAYS STRIVE FOR FIVE plus one!
  • Do you have school spirit and love sports?  If so, the cheerleading team is right for you!  Cheerleading tryouts are coming up next month and will be held on December, 3rd, 4th, and 6th after school in the small gym.  Go online to the TEMS Athletic web-page for more information.

  • Attention all field hockey players: Our end of the year celebration has been changed to Thursday Nov. 8th.   Please make sure you hand in your cleaned uniform, practice jersey, and jacket no later than Wednesday of next week.  6th and 7th grade players please sign up in the locker room for what you will be bringing to the party.  Any questions see Mrs. Custer or Mr. Wilkinson.

  • Attention all 8th graders:  A great opportunity is available to you! Each month the counseling department will be hosting a “business lunch” giving you a chance to talk to different people about their careers. It is now time to sign up for the November Business Lunch! Do you enjoy math? Interested in money and investing? Want to have a career as a Financial Planner?  If so, this is your opportunity to hear from Mr. Neil Manning, an expert in his field. Come hear about his career, his previous career as an actuary, and his career path.  We are honored to have Mr. Manning during the 8th grade lunch on next Friday, November 30th. Be one of the first 15 students to sign up in the guidance office and you will have the chance to learn how to have a career in investing and planning! This is a great opportunity you should not miss!  If you’re interested, sign up in the counseling department today!
  • The girls and boys cross country end of season party will be on Tuesday night, November 20th at 6:30 in the cafeteria.  Please stop by Coach Nelson's room in 251 to sign up for a snack or item to bring to the party and to turn in your cleaned uniform if you haven't already done so.  Thank you!
