TE Morning News - 3/3/18 
  • April is Autism Awareness Month. To raise awareness and to raise funds, we will be having a school wide hat day this Friday, April 6th. Bring in $1 and wear a hat for the day. But wait, that's not all! When you donate your dollar, you will also be entered in a raffle drawing to win a gift card to Starbucks or iTunes. Donations can be made at the common areas on each floor by entrance B on Friday mornings before homeroom.  Also, check out the "Myth vs Fact" posters in the common areas  to learn more about Autism. Don't forget - hats for Autism on Friday!!

  • Thinking of playing Football or Cheer? Gain valuable experience this fall playing or cheering for the South Windsor Panthers. For more information come to a meeting this Thursday in room 364. Please plan on having a ride home at 3:30 or taking the late bus home. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Custer. 

  • A big thanks to everyone who voted throughout the 4 rounds of the 2018 March Madness Book Bracket. There are two copies of each of the top 16 book picks available- so come down to the LMC to check out one of the books you voted for.

  • There will be a meeting of the Cougar Community Service Club after school Wednesday in room 223.  Students will be collecting the Pennies for Patients boxes from homerooms and counting the donations to see which team earns the Popsicle party.  Will it be your team? It isn't too late to donate to push your team on top!  Thank you, TE!

  • “It’s that time of year again- time to take part in helping choose the 2018 Nutmeg Book Award winners.  The Nutmeg Book Award is chosen by students in grades 4 to 8 throughout the state and represents our state book award.  You must have read at least one or more of the current Nutmeg nominees in either the Intermediate or Teen category to be eligible to vote AND can only vote once. Voting will start Today, April 3rd  and end on Wednesday, April 25th. Cast your vote online by visiting the main LMC page. Make sure you have a say in this year’s Nutmeg Book Award Winner.
  • For those of you that participated in Handball Intramurals, please listen up.  The makeup date will be on Wednesday, April 18th.  Miss Gasparino will be getting a permission slip to you, which needs to be signed by a parent/guardian and brought back to her by Tuesday, April 17th.  Again, the handball intramural date is Wednesday, April 18th.
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have French Toast Sticks. In the Grill line you can have Mozzarella Sticks and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best, and remember to always strive for 5!
