  • Good morning! I am Taruni Pendyala and I am Ava Mathew and we are two of the 7th Grade Peer Mediators. We wanted to announce that...Pinwheels For Peace are back! TEMS will be, once again, participating in International Peace day which includes a worldwide art project to help spread the message of peace to our school and community. So don’t forget… your decorated pinwheel needs to be turned in to your homeroom teacher by tomorrow morning, Friday, 9/13.  Please make sure that you complete a pinwheel so you can be a part of the beautiful display that will be in front of the school during the last week in September. Let’s make a difference and share our hopes for a more peaceful community and world!
  • Signups have begun for the Timothy Edwards After School Matinee, better known as T.E.A.M. This year we are offering a variety of classes including: Movie Matinee, Car Club, Board Games, Relay for Life, Kickball and Capture the Flag, and Origami. Be sure to sign up with or without a friend to have some fun this Fall!   STEAM for Girls, Woodworking and Afternoon at the Teen Center are filled and are no longer available.
  • Attention all sixth graders: Your permission slips for the Hartford Marathon Foundation field trip are due tomorrow!  If you need a new copy check Google Classroom or pick one up in the gym.  
  • Are you interested in acceptance and equality for all? A new club, the GSA, which stands for Gay-Straight Alliance, will be having its first meeting on Wednesday, September 18th.The GSA at TE provides a safe and welcoming space for any student who wants to talk about issues related to sexual orientation or gender identity and expression.  It does not matter how you identify; anyone can attend and everyone is welcome. If you have any questions about the GSA, please see Mrs. Gulick in Room 352 (Indigo Team). We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting on Wednesday, September 18th. 
  • Do you like the weight room?  Do you want to enhance your physical fitness? If so, the fitness club is for you.  The fall session of the fitness club will be starting on Monday, September 16th.  It will be held every Monday and Thursday until 4pm, starting September 16th and ending October 31st.  If you are interested, sign up through the Rec Department right now.  Spots are filling up.  There is more information in the girls and boys locker room or you can see Mrs. Giaccone. 
  • Late buses are available every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for students staying for after school activities ending at 4:05 pm.  All students planning on taking a late bus should stop by the late bus map posted in front of the main office.  If you need help reading the map or locating your bus number,  please see someone in the office 
  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Chicken Parmesan, in the Grill line you can have Chicken Meatball Sub and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a good day, and do your best to strive for five!

  • Good morning TE! I'm Ava Mathew, a 7th grade peer mediator. Don't forget... you will be receiving a pinwheel in HR this morning to decorate. Your HR teacher will be providing instructions for you. Completed pinwheels can be handed in to your HR teacher by this Friday. Thanks for participating in this project to promote peace in our community and in our world :-)
  • We will be extending homeroom today 10 minutes so students can vote for their team t shirt design. Teachers will be sharing a link with you. When you follow the link, it will allow you to vote for your choice of T-shirt design only once, so choose carefully.

Looking forward to seeing all of the 6th grade at this awesome event. Get your tickets in your team area in the morning or today at lunch.

  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Orange Glazed Chicken, in the Grill line you can have Chicken Bacon Cheddar Melt and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a good day and do your best to strive for five!

  • Good morning! I am Alyssa Mazzie and I am Medha Bommasamudra. We are Peer Mediators and we’re here to announce that Pinwheels For Peace are coming back!   • Auditions for TETV News anchors will be held today. If you are interested in reading the news live on air, come to room 375 (next to the help desk) today directly after school to audition. Please arrange to be picked up after auditions as there are no late buses today.

  • Attention boys soccer players: This is a reminder that there is no practice after school today. Please go home on your regular bus. There will be practice tomorrow, Thursday and Friday this week.

Through our club, we hope to build a judgment-free community of friends and allies who support one another. It does not matter how you identify; anyone can attend and everyone is welcome. If you have any questions about the GSA, please see Mrs. Gulick in Room 352 (Indigo Team). We look forward to seeing you at our first meeting on Wednesday, September 18th.

  • Hey 6th graders... Welcome to TE!! There's an event happening Wednesday that's for 6th graders only and you definitely don't want to miss it! This Wednesday from 2:45-4:00, we will be holding our annual 6th Grade Social. This is the perfect opportunity to meet up with friends, old and new. Light refreshments will be served and a DJ will be sure to play some of your favorite tunes. Tickets cost $5 and will go on sale this Friday morning in the common areas by your team AND during lunch. Late buses will be available to take you home after the social.

  • Attention 7th and 8th Grade Peer Mediators: If you are interested in helping out at the 6th Grade Social after school on Wednesday, September 11th, from 2:45-4:00, please see Mrs. Zalaski in Rm.211. Thanks!

  • If you checked out library books over the summer and haven’t returned them yet, please do so as soon as possible. Thanks and looking forward to seeing you soon in the LMC soon.

  • Attention all girls soccer players! Tryouts for the TEMS girls soccer team will be held on 9/3, 9/4, and 9/5. Tryouts will start immediately following school and end at 4:00. All players should report to the main gym with cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle. All players must arrange for a ride to pick them up at 4:00 pm.

  • Tryouts for the girls and boys cross country teams will take place each day from today through Friday, September 6th, immediately after school until 4:00 pm. You  should wear appropriate running gear to tryouts. Girls will meet in the gym common area, boys will meet outside of the school in front of the gym common area. Please plan to have a ride home at 4:00 pm.
