  • Good Morning TE!  My name is Kat and my name is Hannah. We are 6th graders  and members of Girl Scout Troop 10943.  Our troop recently heard about a fellow TE student who experienced a fire in their home. We really want to help during this difficult time!  And we are hoping all of TE will want to help too.  Please consider donating a dollar (or more if you can) tomorrow that we can give the family to make this time a little easier.  Please bring your donation to your homeroom teacher tomorrow morning.  Your teacher will give you a sticker to wear that shows that you donated. There is a famous quote that shows how far $1 can go.  “Individually, we are one drop.  But together we are an ocean”  Let’s work together to do something big for this family. We hope you can make a small donation tomorrow and our TE classmate will see how much we all care. Thank you for helping!

You need to have raised at least $10 in donations by 8 pm tonight to be entered. Good luck!

  • Yesterday you received your flyer for the PTO Walk-A-Thon.  This is the only PTO fundraiser of the whole year! Your job is to raise money to help pay for fun activities such as the 6th grade jubilee, 7th grade Lake Compounce  and the 8th grade promotion. This year, the money raised is also going toward a fancy upgrade to the TETV News Equipment. If you didn’t already do this, here is what you need to do….visit the website that is listed on the flyer, you can also find the link on the TE website. With your parent or guardian, register.  Once you are registered, you are eligible for the weekly raffles that we will do here on the morning news.  You only have to register one time.  The raffle prizes include gift cards to Starbucks, Sweet Frog, Ben and Jerry's, the movies and Amazon… Once registered, your job is to get donations, as many as you can. There are prizes for getting a lot of donations:

The person who raises the most money will win $100!

The team who raises the most money will win a team pizza party

The grade that raises the most money will win an ice cream party

The Walk-A-Thon will take place on Oct 23rd.  Wear your team t-shirt. We will all walk on a course around TE and the elementary schools and then celebrate when we get back. Let’s make this the best Walk-A-Thon by earning the most money ever! Start bringing in those donations!

Raising over $1300 on our first day, our Walk-A-Thon is off to a great start!  Over 40 students have already signed up online and are on their way to helping raise money for our school!  Not registered yet? Be sure to visit the fundraiser website to register and become eligible for our first raffle taking place on Tuesday.  We’ll be choosing three lucky raffle winners that will each win a $10 Starbucks gift card live during the TETV Morning news.  There’s more prizes to come and the earlier you register, the more chances you have to win, so be sure to register soon!
