  • Congratulations to the girls cross country team for their 2nd place finish at the league meet yesterday.  Awesome job to 6th grader Taylor Lord who celebrated her first 1st place finish yesterday as the fastest runner in the league.  Audrey Manning and Molly Caron both finished in the top 10 overall in 3rd and 10th place respectively.  Molly dominated at the finish beating a runner from Tolland to earn her top 10 finish.  Riley Baker and Chiara Papa both ran excellent races finishing in the top 15 in the league.  A big shout out to Alyssa Drenga for running so well even though she had no shoes for the majority of the race.  Kaitlyn Dempsky, Maddy Syme, Kavya Ramasamy, and Bridget Carroll also pushed themselves and helped the team take the 2nd place finish.  The cougars look forward to their final meet of the season this Saturday at the state meet in Wickham Park. Best of luck to all runners!

  • Congratulations to the boys cross country team for bringing home the second place trophy at the CRAL meet, in a very closely contested race.  A huge shout out to Ares Savvides for winning the race, and Colin Heslin, Aidan Walsh, and Sean Habeeb for their top 10 finishes and taking home medals.   Out of 70 runners and 7 teams, the Cougars had all 10 of their runners finish in the top 21, including Colin Grip, Ollie Durbois, Colin Turer, Matt Venzie, Ben Tortora and Max Plunskie.  Great race and great effort by the runners, and thank you to all the boys that came and cheered them on.  The team caps off their strong season on Saturday when they race the state championship meet at Wickham Park.

  • What did the football coach say to the vending machine? I want my quarter back!

  • The Field Hockey team faced off against Mabelle Avery Middle School of Somers yesterday on a very cold and windy afternoon. The Cougars started off strong, driving the ball up the field right away. Scoring first for the Cougars was Rachel Turer with a great reverse stick shot right into the net. Tori Jarvis scored next with an assist from Amanda Koziura. Rachel scored the third goal assisted by Emily Osit. Emily then put one in herself with an assist from Avery Yelle. Hanna Edstrom had a quick pass to Avery Pelczar, who sent the ball to Abby Bergstrom who fired the ball right past the goalie to lock in the 5-0 win over Somers. Ria Saxena and Sophia Flores had a combined effort to earn the shutout. Playing great for the  Cougars was Jordyn Boland, Isabelle Goodrich, Kaitlyn Bullock, Alexis Dabrowski, Anna Stapleton, Kaitlyn Hardy, Meredith Pinto, Angelina Bellizzi and Megan Stapleton. TE will play Avery Middle School again Wednesday at home for their final game of the season.

  • The lady Cougars matched up against Tolland in their final game of the season. The Cougars fought hard, but their efforts weren't enough to take down the undefeated opponent. Defensive prowess came from center backs Sidney Montana and Hailey Testa, with support from the flanks including Mikayla Evans and Leighana Ferabello. The midfield held their own as Iniya Raja, Emerson Iacovelli, Chion Pollard, and Katelyn Roux supported the center of the field with style and grace. Up at the front of the line, shots on target came from Lexi Lilly, Sarah Gordon, Arden Sansom, and Emily Ledger. Notable plays of the game came from the likes of goal keeper Haley Butler, who had 8 saves on the day. Butler demonstrated composure and leadership between the pipes. Also, notable was the performance by Megan Martin, who despite an ongoing injury, braved the cold and wind to ensure that the lady Cougars were in high spirits throughout the game. The Cougars conclude the season with five wins and six losses. The team was lead by captains Lexi Lilly, Megan Martin, and Sarah Gordon with support from fellow 8th graders Iniya Raja, Emily Ledger, Anna Matus, Chion Pollard, and Abby Peruccio. A big thanks to the team and the 8th graders for all their positivity and leadership throughout the season.

  • Good Morning TE, We are here this morning to remind everyone about the Operation Gratitude collection drive we are having tomorrow. We will be collecting items that will be sent to our soldiers, veterans, and first responders. We are looking for travel sized personal items such as deodorant, baby powder, and sunscreen. We are also looking to collect batteries, gum, hand warmers and black crew length socks. We hope that you will contribute in any way you can tomorrow. We will have collection boxes inside each entrance and in the main lobby on Friday. Lets all help say thank you to the people who serve.
  • The TEMS Boys Soccer game played it's last game of the season last night falling to Tolland 2-1.  With the wind howling and the sun beaming down, the Cougars struck first by virtue of a Aadi Dey penalty.  The Falcons continued to press, and ultimately they broke the Cougars down.  Two quick goals and we were behind late in the first half.  The second half was a stalemate and the final score was identical to that of the first period.  Jack Stricker, Owen Verzella, and Kyle Castro were strong in the back and thwarted many of the Falcon attacks.  Several others contributed nicely off the bench.  It was the last contest for the 8th graders this season.  Please congratulate the boys when you see them.  The 8th graders are Aadi Dey, Kyle Castro, Xavier Crane, Owen Verzella, Dylan Hutton, Kiran Francis, Damian Ayala, Anthony That, Ben Bernstein, Jack Stricker.  Contratulation once again boys on a fine season.

  • Don't forget, MathCounts starts tomorrow.  CLICK HERE to view video. Everyone is welcome.  So bring a friend, bring a pencil, and bring a calculator.  See you at MathCounts tomorrow morning at 7:00 in the cafeteria.  Hope to see you there.

  • Another victory was celebrated by the girls cross country team at Ellington yesterday with a final score of 25 to 49.  Other than one Ellington runner, it was all purple, black, and white crossing the finish line in the top 15 places led by Audrey Manning coming in first overall in a time of 11:52.  Alyssa Drenga had the best run of her season finishing in 5th overall, and Morgan Caron ran her fastest yet, placing in the top 15 while moving up several places on the team.  Also looking strong was Chiara Papa, who placed 7th, and Samantha Drezek and Ava Magarian who both pushed each other as they used the downhill to speed through the finish.  The cougars look forward to eating queso at Moe's after their league meet on Monday where they aim to put Tolland back in their place and become league champions.  Best of luck to all runners!

  • The Boys Cross Country team finished off their undefeated regular season with an impressive performance against Ellington on Tuesday afternoon. After an Ellington runner took the overall victory, the Cougars followed with the next 11 runners, led by Ares Savvides in second and Aidan Walsh and Sean Habeeb closely behind. Alex Matus had his best race of the year, crossing the line in sixth place and helping TE to the 20 to 43 victory. Eoin Gately had a great finish, using the steep downhill to sneak by an Ellington runner in the final feet. The team travels to Manchester next Monday for the the league championship race, where they hope to win back the first place trophy.

  • Please contribute to Operation Gratitude this Friday, to help send care packages to our troops. Donation boxes will in the main lobby and in team hall areas.

  • The TEMS Field Hockey team lost a tough one yesterday with a score of 2-0 against Granby. TE started out strong forcing the ball to the Granby side of the field with strong play from Sophie Finer, Tori Jarvis, Rachel Turer and Abby Bergstrom. Defense played great keeping the score tied going into half time but Granby was able to sneak two into the goal late in the second half. Avery Fournier, Greta Slater, Maya Sweedok and Grace Rich played great defense. The Cougars put up a good battle in the second game but fell short with a score of 4-1. Scoring the only goal for the Cougars was Alexa Parada. Karen Luo, Julia Craig, Emily Osit and Avery Vensus played great! The cougars next game is Wednesday, home against JFK of Enfield.
  • The lady Cougars hosted JFK yesterday afternoon in their last home game of the season. The Cougars started the game strong with a handful of chances in the first few moments from Lexi Lilly and Sarah Gordon. The Cougars dominated possession for most of the game only giving JFK a few chances on net. Defenders Anna Matus, Leighana Ferrabelo, Sidney Montana, and Hailey Testa were busy at the back and had exceptional performances on the day. Outstanding play in the midfield came from Emily Legder, Emerson Iacovelli, Iniya Raja, and Huntyr Courtois. The four were vital in keeping possession of the ball and set up many of TE's chances in the second half. Midfielders Lexi Lilly, Katelyn Roux, and Mikayla Evans demonstrated exceptional passing especially in the second half despite being down 1-0. Shots in the second half came from Elise Suffish, Iniya Raja, Abby Peruccio, Arden Sansom, Chion Pollard and Sidney Montana. Haley Butler rounded out the Cougar defense in goal and held seven saves on the day. The TE Cougars match up against rivals Tolland in their last game of the season this Thursday. Come on out to support the team!
  • The Timothy Edwards boys soccer team competed last night against the Patriots from JFK. Opening the scoring for the Cougars was Xavier crane on an unassisted solo effort. Aadi Dey finished nicely from Drew Monteserin, then scored on a solo effort. Vaughan Bizier tallied with a pass from Ben Bernstein. Both teams exchanged penalties with Kyle Castro burying his chance. Monteserin scored Unassisted while Damian Ayala rounded out the scoring from Tyler Romero. The Cougars last game is Wednesday against Holland. Hope you can come cheer on the boys.
  • Hello students and teachers of Timothy Edwards, we need your help! Make a difference day is coming up and Luca and I are planning to make a BIG DIFFERENCE on Friday, October 26th. In order for us to accomplish this we need your help on sending care packages out to Deployed Troops, New Recruits, Veterans, First Responders, and Wounded Heroes. This is called Operation Gratitude. Please help us accomplish this by bringing in donations on the wish list that is listed on the flyer that will be given out in every homeroom. During our planning, we encountered a problem.  The problem was we have to pay for shipping. We came up with a solution to this problem.  We will do a few hat and jeans for charity days. We will let you know those dates. I hope every student can participate in this drive. Remember if you participate you will make a difference too. Thank you!

  • Good morning TEMS, lately there have been incidents where students are telling us they are "play fighting". Let me make it very clear - "play fighting" is going to be considered fighting - a physical altercation and you will be disciplined accordingly. Also, tonight's dance is a very popular one. Make sure that you behave appropriately because any incidents will result in your not being allowed to go to future dances. Remember the dance ends at 8:30 so make sure your ride is here at that time. Do your best and Strive for Five!

  • Brian Murdoch with the Joke of the Week: What do computers like to snack on? Silicon chips, cookies, and spam!

With the first half score line of 2-1, compliments of Aadi Dey and Jake Gattuso, the Chargers from Windsor came out with reckless abandon in the second. After tying up the score, the Cougars clawed their way back into the lead with goals from Dey, and Drew Monteserin. Owen Verzella and Vaughan Bizier were tough in the back. The Cougars next play on Monday at JFK in Enfield.

  • The lady Cougars hosted Sage Park yesterday afternoon in Cougar Stadium. The ladies started the game right out the of gate as Sarah Gordon connected with Lexi Lilly for an opportunity on goal that nearly found the back of the net within the first seconds of the match. The Cougars were energetic in the midfield with supporting plays from Huntyr Courtois, Katelyn Roux, Emily Ledger, and Catherine Downes. Defensive player of the game goes to midfielder Iniya Raja who was instrumental in securing possession and tackling in the midfield. The Cougar defense played an outstanding game with amazing hustle and communication from Sidney Montana, Hailey Testa, and Leighana Ferrabelo. However, the MVP award goes to Arden Sansom who tallied 3 goals on the day demonstrating her composure to finish under pressure. Assists for Sansom came from Lexi Lilly, Hailey Test, and Ritika Abburi. Haley Bulter rounded out the Cougar defense between the pipes. • The Field Hockey team played their foundation game yesterday afternoon against Stafford Middle School in front of a close to record breaking crowd. The Cougars played a very defensive game and walked away victorious with a score 1-0. TE started off strong, pushing the ball onto Stafford's side of the field and held it there for a good part of the first half. Scoring the only goal of the day was Kaylee Guerera, assisted by Giana Bellody. Stafford then attempted to turn the game around, forcing the ball back on the Cougars side of the field but their plan was spoiled by Rachel Turer, Molly Frank, Sophie Finer and Abby Bergstrom. Each time they snuck the ball into the circle they were rejected by Greta Slater, Avery Fournier, Grace Rich and Maya Swedock playing great defense. Ria Saxena was credited with the shut out, keeping her defense sharp making sure each Stafford attacker was covered. The second game ended in a tie between the Cougars and Stafford. Emily Osit led the charge with Anna Stapleton, Isabelle Goodrich, Avery Pelczar and Morgan Reed. Sophia Flores made several great saves and locked down the shut out. The team would like to thank everyone that came out to support the team and their cause. The teams next home game is Wednesday against JFK of Enfield.
  • Congratulations to the girls cross country team on their double win against Sage Park and Two Rivers with final scores of 15 to 53 and 17 to 46, respectively.  Audrey Manning was out front and all alone earning herself another 1st place finish followed by Taylor Lord, Maddie Syme, and Riley Baker, who all finished in the top 5 overall.  The cold weather brought out the best times with an astounding 31 personal records made by the team including Ella Heredia, who took off 30 seconds while moving up 4 spots on the team, Brooke Stapleton who had a great race running nearly 3 minutes faster than her last time, and Sue Dionne, who was looking speedy as she shed over 5 minutes off her best time.  The team is looking forward to their next away meet against Ellington on Tuesday.  Run hard, Cougars!
  • Thursday afternoon brought some chilly and windy weather, but it couldn't cool down the boys cross country team.  The Cougars notched two more victories on to their total, as they defeated Sage Park 15 to 50 and Two Rivers Magnet School 18 to 43.  Ares Savvides crossed the line first, taking his first overall victory of the season.  Colin Grip ran his strongest race of the year, breaking in to the top 5. Travis Willcox was on a mission as he took over a minute off his best time and tallied a top 10 placement.  The hard work is also paying off for Sam Balducci and Kevin Joseph, as they both finished well over a minute under their best times.  The team tries to keep the undefeated season going when they travel to Ellington on Tuesday afternoon.
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Chicken Tenders, in the Grill line you can have Chicken Club and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best and remember to always strive for 5!

  • On Tuesday, the lady Cougars matched up against East Hartford in what proved to be a one-sided event. In the first half, TE tallied an unassisted game opener from Sarah Gordon. The play was followed by strong tackles in the defensive end by Catherine Downes, Chion Pollard, and Anna Matus. Late in the first half, Emerson Iacovelli snuck a free kick between the pipes off an assist from Mikayla Evans. Iacovelli had two goals on the day. At the break, TE came out strong as Ritika Aburri tapped in her first goal of the season. The goals continued to trickle in as Elise Suffish tallied two assists on the day setting up Arden Sansom, and eventually finding the foot of Haley Butler for her first goal of the season. Sansom had two goals on the day. Outstanding play throughout the game was also had by Emily Legder, Hailey Testa, and Abby Perrucio as the trio were dynamic in securing a 7-0 victory over East Hartford. Yesterday, the Lady Cougars met opponents JFK in a competitive and windy match. The Cougars dropped down by two goals early in the game. Unlike Tuesday's game, the defense was busy with lot’s of action from Leighana Ferrabelo, Sidney Montana, Hailey Testa, and Mikayla Evans. Midfielders Iniya Raja, Huntyr Courtois, and Emily Ledger kept pace in the center of the pitch, and their efforts really started to shine through in the second half. Shots on the day came from Sarah Gordon, Emily Ledger, Arden Samson, and Lexi Lilly. TE host their next home game this afternoon against Sage Park. Come on out and support the Cougars!

  • The TE boys soccer team was in action once again last night battling the Patriots of JFK.  The first was a bit of a stale mate as the two sides scored one goal apiece.  Drew Monteserin drove nicely through the defense and buried his chance to put the Cougars ahead.  The Patriots equalized shortly thereafter.  In the second half, with the wind at their backs, the Cougars poured it on.  Rishabh Mohapatro blazed one home, Josiah Chamberlain scored his first career TEMS goal and Jake Gattuso slotted home a sweet finish to make the score 4-1.  Assists were from Aadi Dey, Damian Ayala and Chamberlain.  Dylan Hutton, Vaughn Bizier and Xavier Crane were stalwarts on the defensive end as well.  The Cougars travel to Sage Park today looking for 3 consecutive wins.

  • Attention 8th grade ambassadors:  There will be a lunch meeting on Monday, Oct 22 in the upper library.

  • Attention 7th grade ambassadors:  There will be a lunch meeting on Tuesday, Oct 23 in the upper library.

Watch out though, Teams Evergreen, Sage, Pacific & Garnet aren't far behind! In other news, the grade raising the most pledges so far is the 6th grade! Keep it up 6th grade if you want to earn the Friday cross-team lunch prize! 7th grade is very close to taking the lead. The pledge period ends Monday so if you have any other donations at home, make sure to get them in soon! Thanks again for making our fundraiser a success so far and have fun at the Walk-A-Thon today! You've earned it!!!

  • The TE soccer team played last night taking on the Falcons from East Hartford.  With the US National team playing last night in East Hartford, the Falcons only brought 12 players.  Early in the first half, Drew Monteserin scored on an individual effort, driving past defenders to slot the ball home.  Aadi Dey followed up on a goalkeeper error making it 2-0.  In the second half the Falcons were not able to keep pace and the Cougars put in three more.  Rishabh Mohapatra finished nicely, with an assist from Josiah Chamberlain.  Dey added a second of a pass from Jack Stricker and Xavier Crane scored his first ever TE goal off a quick corner kick from Dey.  Joey Bemis recorded the shut-out in goal. The Cougars next play today after school against JFK of Enfield.
