All submissions must include a YouTube link and be school appropriate. We look forward to your ideas.

  • To celebrate Computer Science Education Week, the State Department of Education is offering a Women in STEM-C event on Saturday, Dec 2nd. Students will engage with STEM and Computer Science activities that focus on teaching team work, lateral thinking, and organization. If interested have a parent or guardian sign you up at the link on the news page. Sign up Link
  • Girls basketball tryouts will be held on November 27th and November 29th after school from 2:45 - 4:00.  Additional tryouts may be added at a later date. All participants must be registered through Power School and have a physician's statement on file prior to the tryout dates.  Students who to not have a physician statement will not be eligible to tryout. Any questions, please see Mr. Chandler in the main gym.
  • Boys Basketball tryouts will be held Dec 4th through the 6th afterschool.. All tryouts will be in the main gym.  Plan to attend all tryouts.  Wear suitable clothing and basketball shoes (or sneakers).  All participants must be registered through Power School and have a physician's statement on file prior to the tryout dates.  Students who to not have a physician statement will not be eligible to tryout. Any questions please contact Mr. McClay.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, November 17.
  • Thank you to all of you who have purchased dance tickets for this Friday's Neon Dance!  If you have not yet filled out the form to attend the dance, please make sure you do it today.  If you have filled out the form but have not purchased your ticket yet, please bring $10 to the lobby to secure your ticket. This morning is the last chance to purchase tickets. Tickets will not be on sale at the door.  The Neon Dance will have a quiet station in the library with bracelet making and puzzles in addition to music, face painting, and snacks in the cafeteria! Come join the fun!
  • Finding Nemo sign-ups close after today! If you haven't yet filled out the sign-up form in the Entertainers Google Classroom, do so today! Make sure you bring your $30 participation fee, cash or check, to either Ms. Carver (room 145) or Mrs. Leveille (room 283).  Next up, crew selection and auditions!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, November 16.
  • All TEMS Debaters - Please attend a FULL Meeting after school today in the cafeteria. we will discuss the December 16th tournament and learn about how to better prepare a REBUTTAL during a debate. As always, NEW members are also welcome to join! 
  • Thank you to all of you who have purchased dance tickets for this Friday's Neon Dance!  If you have not yet filled out the form to attend the dance, please make sure you do it today.  If you have filled out the form but have not purchased your ticket yet, please bring $10 to the lobby to secure your ticket.  The Neon Dance will have a quiet station in the library with bracelet making and puzzles in addition to music, face painting, and snacks in the cafeteria! Come join the fun!
  • Thank you everybody for all your generous donations to the TE change leaders for Diabetes (and CCMC). We are still accepting contributions and will be open until November 30. If you've yet donated, please do and you will be provided with a bracelet and/or ribbons. Remember bracelets are 5$ and Ribbons are 1$.
  • Don't forget sign ups for this year's musical, Finding Nemo Jr, are due tomorrow! Remember to bring the $30 participation fee to either Ms. Carver (room 145) or Mrs. Leveille (room 283). Audition materials have been posted in the Google Classroom. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Ms. Carver or Mrs. Leveille.

  • SAGA meets today after school immediately following dismissal. SAGA is a club for students in the LGBTQ community, but you don’t have to be a part of the community to join. All allies and supportive friends are welcome. So make a plan to stay after, arrange a ride if you're not taking the late bus, and bring yourself and a friend down to room 145 for our second SAGA meeting of the year! Not sure if SAGA is for you? Have other questions about what we do and how you can be involved? Contact Ms. Carver or stop by her classroom, room 145. Can't wait to see you there!

  • According to the American Diabetes Association, about 244,000 children under the age of 20 are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Please wear blue or gray in honor of World Diabetes Day on tomorrow, November 14th because we will be providing blue ribbons for a donation of 1 dollar and blue bracelets for a donation of 5 dollars from the week of November 13th through the 17th. You can get these during your lunch wave. This money will go to children with type 1 diabetes in the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
  • Attention all TEMS Band members;  Mr. Marci's instrumental lessons are cancelled for today.  Please remain in your regular encore class.  All band members should bring a Chromebook and headphones with them to band class today. 
  • On Monday, November 13th TEMS will recognize World Kindness day. During arrivals on Friday and Monday please stop by the lobby to complete kindness shout outs where you can recognize a friend or teacher for kindness that they showed. Like every day, let’s continue to represent TEMS values by showing kindness, compassion, and acceptance of everyone.
  • Students and families are all invited to attend the first ever TEMS Gratitude evening scheduled for Tomorrow November 14th from 6:30-8:00. There will be student presentations, gratitude activities and snacks. Bring the whole family!

Each homeroom will compete to see who can raise the most money, all of which will be donated to Connecticut Children’s — our local children’s hospital.   • Attention winter sport athletes...registration for cheerleading and boys and girls Basketball is open!  Your parents must register you on the parent portal and an updated physician statement dated after June 1st, 2023 is required.  Please check the athletics website for more information.  The deadline to register is November 27th.

  • Today is World Diabetes Day, a day we come together to support children with diabetes. The TE Leaders will be providing blue ribbons for a donation of 1 dollar and blue bracelets for a donation of 5 dollars this week through the 17th. You can get these during your lunch wave. This money will go to children with type 1 diabetes in the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Thank you for your support, glad to see so much gray and blue today!!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, November 10.
  • We're from the TE change leaders, According to the American Diabetes Association, about 244,000 children under the age of 20 are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a condition where the pancreas doesn’t make inulin, in turn causing blood sugar to build up in the bloodstream. Please wear blue or gray in honor of World Diabetes Day on Tuesday, November 14th because we will be providing blue ribbons for a donation of 1 dollar and blue bracelets for a donation of 5 dollars from the week of November 13th through the 17th. You can get these during your lunch wave. This money will go to children with type 1 diabetes in the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

  •  Tomorrow,  November 11, marks Veterans Day. Veterans Day occurs every year in the United States in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I, known as Armistice Day. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially changed the name of the holiday from Armistice Day to Veterans DayDo you know any Veterans in your family, neighborhood or community? Please take the opportunity to thank a Veteran in your life or in our community today!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, November 9.
  • All debaters should plan to stay after school today for a meeting to begin preparations for the December 16th Tournament. This is a meeting for all NOVICE AND OPEN Division debaters. TEMS debaters should report to the cafeteria immediately after dismissal today. NEW members are welcome to join! 
  • The Student Council is excited to announce the winner of decades day and the winner of cross team lunch is 8th grade. This lunch will take place Nov.17th. Thank you for everyone that participated in spirit week and made last week so fun and spirited.
  • On Monday, November 13th TEMS will recognize World Kindness Day. During arrivals on Friday and Monday please stop by the lobby to complete kindness shout outs where you can recognize a friend or teacher for kindness that they showed. Like every day, let’s continue to represent TEMS values by showing kindness, compassion, and acceptance of everyone.
  • Students and families are all invited to attend the first ever TEMS Gratitude evening scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th from 6:30-8:00. There will be student presentations, gratitude activities and snacks. Bring the whole family!
  • Interested in learning more about Entertainers but missed Monday's meeting? No worries! Join our Finding Nemo Google Classroom with code   s-2-w-i-w-m-r   for all of the information slides, handouts, sign up form, and audition information. Reminder: your participation fee and all sign ups are due by next Friday 11/17 to Mrs. Leveille or Ms. Carver.
  • To science Olympiad students this is a reminder that there is a meeting today after school in room 255. Please bring permission forms and plan for transportation home at 4pm.
  • Attention all TE Band members; please remember to bring your Chromebook and headphones to band class today.  Additionally, all of Mr. Marci's instrumental lessons have been cancelled for today.  Please remain in your regular encore class.
  • Start collecting your loose change, Cougars! From Monday, November 13th to Friday, November 17th CougarTHON is hosting Penny Wars! Each homeroom will compete to see who can raise the most money, all of which will be donated to Connecticut Children’s — our local children’s hospital. The team that collects the most money will win a movie day! Get ready, because the competition is on!
  • On Friday, November 17th, CougarTHON invites you to the Neon Dance! The dance will take place in the café, where snacks, drinks, face painting, and glow sticks will be available for purchase. Tickets will be sold Monday, November 13th through Friday, November 17th, in the main lobby before school, for $10. You can reserve your ticket using the QR code on the TEMS website. So be sure to bust out your brightest colors and get ready for a night of fun! Any questions, please contact Mrs. Klosowski in room 232.
