  • Good morning everyone, please stand for the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated.
  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, January 8.
  • Today's the day!  Out of the Blue will meet after school today in room 222 in the Scarlet hallway.  Ms. Olsen looks forward to seeing all new and returning members.  Be sure to bring your Chromebook.
  • Attention all 7th and 8th grade chorus members:  Due to the delay, we will be having our combined rehearsals TOMORROW, instead of today.  Please go to your regularly scheduled encore class today.
  • On Friday night, the Lady Cougars traveled to JFK Middle School in Enfield to take on the Lady Patriots in a CRAL battle. Unfortunately, the Patriots put a lot of pressure on the Cougars thus resulting in a 17 point win for the Lady Patriots. Mia Haynes led the Lady Cougars with 9 points on the night. TE struggled with the full court pressure and were uncle to stop their #14 who scored half her team’s points. Emmi Tushe had four points, Alex Gogic had three and Olivia Dzubin, America Bernier, and Elise Glunt each chipped in two points each. TE’s next game is Thursday after school against Sage Park.
  • The boys basketball team beat JFK Middle School Friday 48-36.  The Cougars balanced scoring attack was led by Tyler Poland and Brooklyn King. The Cougars built an early lead in the first quarter and their defense helped maintain the lead throughout the game. The Cougars have improved to a 3-1 record on the season after winning 2 in a row. The boys look to extend their winning streak when they play at East Hartford on Tuesday.
  • Attention all Entertainers cast and crew:  Make sure you've checked this week's schedule in Google Classroom to see when you are rehearsing or meeting this week. Today's rehearsal is for ALL CAST. Don't forget, student producer applications and your vote for the t-shirt design are due this Wednesday!! See Google Classroom for more information.
  • Attention Girl’s Cross Country runners, your Fall pictures are in!  If you ordered pictures, please pick them up in the main office. Again, Girl’s Cross Country runners who ordered pictures please pick them up in the main office today.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 5.
  • The Lady Cougars hit the hardwood for the first time after the holiday break and they did not disappoint. Taking on the Ellington Wildcats in a CRAL border war, the Lady Cougars were up to the challenge.  TE jumped out to an early lead after Madison Carpenter and Shea Brochu each hit a three early in the quarter.  16 points in the quarter seemed like the Lady Cougars had things in hand, but the Wildcats were right in the game with 13 of their own. Maria Puniello was focused from the start and helped the Lady Cougars build their lead with 4 points early in the half.  The game was back and forth early on, though TE held a 26-21 lead going into halftime.  TE put their foot on the gas and stretched their lead to 11 in the third as Olivia Dzubin hit a big three to stretch the lead.  Puniello, with a career high, and Brochu led the team with 8 points each, while Elise Glunt rebounded everything and attacked the rim for 6 points of her own.  Carpenter finished with 5 points, Mia Haynes chipped in four, while Alex Gogic and Emmi Tushe had 2 points each. The final score was 41-37 but the game was never really in question. Great job ladies and good luck today against JFK.
  • The boys basketball team beat Ellington Middle School 55-24 yesterday improving their record to 2-1.   Led by a balanced scoring attack and a stifling defense, the Cougars cruised to a victory.  The Cougars play today at home against Enfield.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, December 21.
  • Student Council's Spirit week rolls on. Looking so fancy today, could have easily thought we were at the Oscars. Don't forget, tomorrow wraps up spirit week with Ugly Sweater Day! So bring out your tackiest holiday sweaters, sweater dresses, or any other crazy festive outfit.
  • Last Friday, 127 students gathered to participate in the annual MathCounts school competition.  The top 8 students will be moving on to the Hartford Chapter Competition. Congratulations to the following students who will be competing in February. Girish Prasad, Gian Handa, Aarav Pruthi, Henry Venne, Ishan Agarwal, Zarif Rahman, Danyel Reyes, and Satvik Koppu. A special shout out to Girish Prasad who was the second person in TEMS history to achieve a perfect score!
  • The Boys Basketball team lost to Illing Middle School 58-47 in Manchester. Outside shooting kept the Cougars in the game hitting eleven 3’s as a team. Turnovers led to some easy baskets for Illing and the Cougars fought back but it wasn’t enough.  The team fell to 1-1 for the season and they look to bounce back after vacation. There next game is away against Ellington on January 4th.
  • The Lady Cougars continued on their winning ways, beating Illing last night 32-20.  Shea Brochu led the Lady Cougars with 12 points, including three 3-pointers.  Maria Puniello added 6 points on the night as well.  TEMS was relentless from the start...opening up a 18-8 lead at halftime.  Key defensive efforts kept the Rams from getting anything going.  Adding to their lead after halftime, Allie Kupec finished a nice and-one midway through the fourth quarter.  Olivia Dzubin scored 4 points on the evening, Alex Gogic chipped in three, and both Elise Glunt and Emmi Tushe dropped a bucket each.  The Lady Cougars have a long extended break and get back at it after the holidays.  Congrats on a great game girls.

  • The boys basketball team won a thrilling game yesterday against Suffield.  The Cougars were down 18-4 after the first quarter but rallied back in the second to be down 20-17 at half. Brooklyn King had five 3’s to help lead the comeback.  King hit a 3 with less than 20 seconds to play and then stole the inbound pass and fed Tyler Poland for the layup plus the foul.  Tyler hit the the go ahead free throw with 9 second left and held on to win 46-45. The Cougars play tomorrow at Illing Middle School.
  • The Lady Cougars opened up their title defense, taking on the Suffield Wildcats last night in Suffield. The Lady Cougars were held in check for most of the first half, however, they were still in the game going into halftime. Down nine, entering the second frame, the Lady Cougars decided to put the press on, and boy did they ever.  Steal after steal and fast break after fast break, the Lady Cougars chipped away and scored 19 in the quarter to the Wildcat’s six. The Lady Cougars were led by Shea Brochu  with 17 strong and eight of them coming from the free line, Olivia Dzubin had two three-pointers and a free throw, Maria Puniello scored four as well. Elise Glunt had several key rebounds and three points from the charity stripe as well. Alex Gogic , Emmi Tushe, and America Bernier each had two points in the contest and Madison Carpenter added one. The final score after such a great comeback was 38-33. Great job ladies.

Earlier this week, Abigail, Shambhavi and Rejina were named STATE CHAMPIONS of the FALL 2023 Season of the Connecticut Middle School Stock Market Game, outperforming 185 other middle school teams. The Musketeers were brilliant investors, starting with a $100,000 investment account. After carefully choosing a number of stocks and investments to add to their portfolio, they increased their savings to a little over $120,000 , a whopping 20% return in only ten weeks time. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the "Game" and a special shout out to our newly crowned state champs!
