  • The girls soccer team had two tough matches this week. The first game resulted in a 2-2 tie against Enfield Middle School on Tuesday. Yesterday, the Lady Cougars were able to beat Suffield Middle School 2-0. Coach B said there were many shots on goal, but we were unable to finish! Thankfully, Gianna DiSalvatore and Emily Gamble came through for the Cougars this week both placing one in the back of the net. 6th grader Sienna DiSalvatore had two amazing games this week! The Lady Cougars enter the playoffs next week. The semi-final will be on Tuesday at 3:45.
  • The Timothy Edwards boys soccer team played two games this week and the results of each were identical. The first game was against JFK from Enfield and the second was against Suffield Middle School. Both matches ended in a 4–0 victory for the Cougars. Against JFK, Doug Quiuqui scored three goals while Logan Jackson scored the last goal on a penalty kick. Against Suffield, Haris Zhinipotoku scored the first two goals of the game. Roby Sayavong tallied the third goal, while Logan Jackson put the game to bed with a top shelf finish that had rebounded off the crossbar. The Cougars will head into the CRAL tournament as the number one seed on Monday after school. Good luck boys!!!
  • TE Field Hockey traveled to Somers yesterday for their last game of the season and the Cougars came away with a 1-0 win. Captains Ainslee Deptula, Emily Carmon, Prithi Suriakumarr, Molly Willard and Emma Davis once again controlled the field both offensively and defensively. Coach Custer and Coach Wilkinson wish all of our 8th graders the very best on and off the field next year. It was a great season and congrats to the entire team!

  • The Lady Cougars Soccer Team faced JFK last night and it definitely wasn't easy! The team walked away with a tie 2-2. Late in the first half Madison Carpenter fought her way to the goal and fired one in the back of the net. But, that didn't stop JFK who came right back to tie it up when they got a direct kick at the corner of the box.  Gianna DiSalvatore gave the team a much needed pep talk at the half way mark. The Cougars came out strong in the second half which led to Emily Gamble scoring a goal. The Cougars were up by one. Late in the second half JFK was able to tie it up. The Lady Cougars worked hard, but were unable to get another goal against JFK. Victoria Maachi secured the tie for the Lady Cougars with three amazing saves. The girls play Suffield today after school at 3:45! This will be the last game of the regular season.
  • The field hockey team fought a hard battle but came up short against a very strong Granby team.  Tori Yelle had some beautiful breakaways with Allie Scott making nice passes up the sideline along with Ainslee Deptula and Prithi Suriyakumarr, and Emily Carmon at midfield.  Megan Aparo had tremendous saves but Granby just proved too strong for the TE defense.  Emma Davis made the highlight real making a goal  line save in the first half! In the second game TE could not fend off a pesky Granby team but the coaches were very pleased at their passing and stickwork.  They have shown great improvement since the beginning of the year.  Ella Allore, Stella Swierbutowicz, Emma Hennessey, Ipshita Singh, and Layla Holmes played well for the Cougars.  TE's last game is tomorrow away against Somers.

  • The TEMS Boys soccer team played East Hartford last Thursday night and pulled away in the end to ensure a 4-1 victory over the Falcons.  Dalton Crane scored the first tally of the game, when he struck his freekick towards goal.  Even though it took a massive deflection, it was still on target and he gets credited for the finish.  East Hartford snuck back in to the game with a solo effort, from one of the regions best players, making it 1-1 at half time. At halftime, Coach Chandler addressed the players and they came out firing on all cylinders.  About 10 minutes into the half, the Cougars got their second when Mo Rahman headed home a cross from Logan Jackson.  Ahan Karnik matched Rahman's header with one of his own, making the score to 3-1.  Haris Zhinipotoku was credited with the assist. Dillon Leacu, was back on the score sheet too, his first since the start of the season as he placed a cheeky little chip over the head of the keeper.  Mohamed Merzougui got the assist, his first point of the season.  The Cougars play hose once again when they welcome the Patriots of JFK on Tuesday after school.  Come out and cheer on the boys.

  • Good morning everyone, please stand for the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated.
  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Tuesday, October 17.
  • And now for Walk A Thon News. The following students have won Dairy Queen gift cards for raising at least $40 for our school fundraiser: Tyler Decker, Evan Pinkin, Matthew Donnelly, Sukrit Kumar, and Jack Chatham. Congratulations! Head to the main office to pick up your prize. Keep those donations coming in, we are well on our way to earning the Kona Ice Truck!
  • Yesterday the field hockey team traveled to Granby and lost with a score of 2-0. Molly Willard, Maggie Melia and Violette DesRocher did a great job on the defensive line holding the powerful Granby offense out of the circle. Prithi Suriyankumarr was an offense and defense powerhouse controlling almost every aspect of the game. Joanna Halle did a great job giving TE great opportunities on attack but the team just couldn’t find the back of the cage. Also playing great for the Cougars was Stella Swierbutowicz, Raegan Burnham and Meg Aparo, all first year players. For the second game, TE again came away with a loss of 3-0. Playing well on defense was Evie Beaulieau, Kayleigh Milliken, Arianna Coco and Layla Holmes. Kylie Duvall, Kenzie Mason and Ella Satalino did a nice job coming back for the ball and moving it to the offensive side of the field.  The next game is this Thursday at home against Suffield. Be sure to come out to support the team!
  • Attention students auditioning for the Spotlight Show Choir:  Reminder!  Tomorrow night is  the deadline for submitting your two audition videos. Again, Spotlight Audition Videos are due by tomorrow night.

So tomorrow when your getting ready, do your best to wear at least one orange item so we can unite as the strong community we are.
