  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, March 21.
  • Hey! I’m Nemo! Join us on this Friday the 22nd from 6-8 PM on our very own “Under The Sea” Activity Night to find Dory. There will be lots of fun activities including: henna, face paint, a movie in the library and a dance in the cafeteria. Make sure to wear blue to match the theme of the activity night!!! Tickets are ONLY $10 DOLLARS, and VIP TICKETS ARE ONLY $15! With the VIP tickets, you can exclusively sit at the booths, you get a free goodie bag, and a free extra snack. How cool is that!?!?! All of the money will be put towards our goal of buying machines that help kids with Type 1 Diabetes! They found me, now it’s time to find DORY!
  • Attention 8th Grade MYO Field Trip Students - On Friday morning, report to your homerooms, as usual.  Be sure to be counted for attendance purposes and watch the TETV newscast.  Once you are dismissed from homeroom, grab your coat and meet the group in the school's cafeteria for a quick head count.  Then we will be on our way to UCONN!
  • Today Out of the Blue is proud to showcase this incredible drawing by Mahima Sasikumar.  Isn't it wonderful?  Your wonderful work could also be featured in our nationally award winning magazine.  Thank you to all who have already submitted.  Who knows, you might hear your name on the news soon!  Club members, please remember we will meet this coming Monday, March 25.

  • We are back with Women’s History Month celebrations. Today we will highlight the amazing accomplishments of Mathematician Katherine Johnson.   • Attention baseball players...tryouts for grades 6th and 7th only will take place on Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday, March 27th from 2:45 to 4:30. 8th Graders Only will tryout on: Monday, April 1st and Wednesday, April 3rd from 2:45 to 4:30. Please see the TE website for more information.
  • Track and Field tryouts will be held the first week of April.  Boys and girls will try out together.  8th grade will be on April 1st, 7th grade on April 3rd and 6th grade on April 4th.  Please make sure you are registered and your physical is up to date.
  • Softball tryouts are going to be held on April 1st, 3rd, and 4th until 4pm.  You can get more information in the main gym or see Mrs. Giaccone.
  • You can earn purple ROAR tickets all month long by demonstrating Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, and Resilience. To enter to win prizes, put your first and last name and team on the ticket and place tickets in the box next to the safety desk. Drawings will be announced Fridays all month long.

  • Last night, the Timothy Edwards Mock trial teams entered into competition in the Civics First Middle School Mock Trial Regional Round. Congratulations to all teams on an outstanding efforts in all trials. A special shout out to the Timothy Edwards GOLD team who automatically advanced to the playoffs with a perfect 2-0 record. 
  • Hi TE!  Out of the Blue is here to highlight the work of another amazing student.  Today have Ananya Save.  Take a look at her beautiful work!  We still want your submissions!  Please consider submitting your short stories, poems, artwork, or photography to Ms. Olsen!

  • Please wish the Science Olympiad students well for tomorrow's competition. Schools from across the state will be there to try and win medals for the 23 events and possibly a chance to go to the national competition. Good Luck Science Olympians!

  • Attention Science Olympiad members! We are in the final stretch before our competition this Saturday. We will meet today, Thursday, after school. Any builds that need to be transported by Mrs. Bajorek to the competition must be delivered to school by Friday morning. Be sure to attend this final important meeting for information and T-shirts. More detailed information is posted on our Science Olympiad Google Classroom. Look forward to seeing everyone participate in the competition!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, March 11.
  • Saturday was an exciting day for the TE MathCounts team as they competed in the State tournament.  The team of Girish Prasad, Gian Handa, Aarav Pruthi and Henry Venne calculated their way to victory, beating out all other teams statewide!   Girish (the G.O.A.T.) qualified to move on to the National Competition. This is the second time that TE has won the state title.  Girish is the first person in TE history to qualify for Nationals, not once, but twice! Congratulations to Girish, Gian, Aarav, Henry and Ishan Agarwal on their incredible achievements.  
  • 7th and 8th graders you will have the opportunity to join Ms. Mills being part of the Expressions Group. This will be a free after school opportunity to engage and have fun being creative in expressing who you are!   • A big thank you to students and staff who voted in Round 1 of the 2024 March Madness Book Bracket. Please continue to cast your vote in round 2 by clicking on the March Madness Book Bracket link on the main LMC.  Voting for round two will end on Thursday, March 14. You don’t have to have read the books; just vote for the title whose summary sounds the most interesting.  If you are interested in any of the titles, come to the library to check out the print copy or go to Destiny Discover to check out the eBook or e-audio. Don’t get left out on the sidelines; make sure you have your say in this year’s March Madness book winner! The registration link will be posted on the TEMS Homepage. Registration must be done by a parent/guardian. There are still spots open so be sure to sign up today!
  • Tickets for Entertainer's production of "Finding Nemo, Junior" are now on sale every morning in the lobby by the cafeteria and library. You can also RSVP with the same Google form to come see the booths and performance at international night!

  • Congratulations to the team of Emerald for winning the Type 1 Diabetes Hallway Decorating Contest! As promised, you will receive a free activity day which we will decide when to host. Also, the T.E. Change Leaders are excited to announce that they're giving away two free general admission tickets for an upcoming activity night! To score a free ticket, exemplify all the ROAR qualities. If you’re lucky, your teacher might hand you a coin – 5 per team get this. Then, we'll toss all those coins into a raffle to pick the lucky winner!
  • Calling All Middle Schoolers! Spring Matinee registration is open! Ready to unleash your creativity, explore new interests, and have some fun after school? Check out the Spring Matinee Brochure on the TEMS Homepage to discover a variety of exciting activities you can't miss! Registration will close Friday at 11:59pm! The registration link will be posted on the TEMS Homepage. Registration must be done by a parent/guardian. One course per student.
  • The TEMS-PTO needs your help in selecting the final design for the new TEMS Spirit Wear logo that will be used to create new shirts for TE. Please go to the homepage to fill out the Google form to vote for your selection. We can't wait to see which new logo will be selected!
  • You can earn purple ROAR tickets all month long by demonstrating Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, and Resilience. To enter to win prizes, put your first and last name and team on the ticket and place tickets in the box next to the safety desk. Drawings will be announced Fridays all month long.
  • Attention Science Olympiad members with competition fast approaching, please plan to attend the following meeting times this week to prepare for our upcoming competition on March 16th: Today after school until 4pm and Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00pm
  • Softball tryouts are going to held on April 1st, 3rd, and 4th until 4pm.  You can get more information on the TEMS Athletics page, in the main gym or see Mrs. Giaccone.

  • Wrapping up the listing of winners from last Saturday's History Day Contest at UCONN, today we will focus on Documentaries. In the Individual Documentary Category, Yilin Lin brought home 4th Place Honorable Mention honors for her film, Lyle Dresser was awarded 3rd place for his documentary and Ishanvi Mohapatra walked away with the gold medal for her 1st place film. In the Group Documentary Category, the team of Neel Pandit and Atharv Save received bronze medals for their 3rd place entry. Congratulations once again to all History Day participants and good luck to all the TEMS students who advanced to the Connecticut History Day Contest on May 4th!
