  • Hello TE, and welcome to a St. Patrick Day addition to the joke of the week. What do you get when you mix poison ivy with a four leaf clover? You get a rash of good luck!!!!!! But never iron it! You don't want to press your luck!!!
  • Calling all students! Unveil your talents on stage! Be the star for a night! On Thursday, June 7th, the TE PTO will host its annual TE's Got Talent talent show. The show is open to all TE students. If you can sing, dance, juggle, play an instrument- whatever your talent- we want you. Audition forms are due to the main office today.

  • FORE!!!!!  Do you love golf or do you want to learn how to play it?  Join Mr Chandler this spring for GOLF at Willow Brook.  Every Wednesday starting on April 4th, you can hit the links and work on your game.  If interested, please see Mr. Chandler in the main gym for more information - or - you can sign up through the South Windsor Recreation Department website.  There is only 16 spots available so act fact.  Who knows, you may even be able to make a hole in one!

  • Attention all athletes trying out for the track team:  Tryouts for the girls’ team will begin on Monday, March 26th.  Tryouts for the boys’ team will begin on Tuesday, March 27th.  Tryouts will be held right after school until 4:30 pm.  For more information, check the schedule posted in the gym or the Athletics web page.   

  • Attention all students, if you are participating in the fundraising for Hoops for Heart and the American Heart Association, please bring you donations in to your PE teacher starting next week.  

  • Attention baseball players...tryouts for 6th and 7th graders will take place on March 19th and March 21st.  8th graders will try out on March 22nd and 23rd.  Tryouts will end at 4:30 pm so plan on getting picked up at that time.  Be prepared for indoor and outdoor tryouts. 

  • "Do you like playing handball?  If so, you should sign up for Intramural handball here at TE.  Handball will be held next week on Monday, the 19th, Wednesday, the 21st, and Thursday, the 22nd until 4:00 pm; all late bus days!  If you are interested, please pick up a permission slip in the main gym and have it signed and brought back to Miss Gasparino by Friday, March 16th.  There is a limited amount of spots, so it's first come first serve!" 

  • Thank you to the over 420 students and staff who took the time to vote in round 1 of the March Madness Book Bracket.I would love to have those same students and staff, and even more, vote again for the top 8 picks- or round 2. Voting begins today and will run through the end of the school day on Monday, March 19th.To vote, go the main LMC page and then to the March Madness Book Bracket tab and vote where it says round 2. There will be computers available in the LMC to vote, or take a moment to do so from home.
  • The Glastonbury-East Hartford Magnet School is hosting a Chess Tournament on Saturday, April 28th.  Many schools in the Greater Hartford Area are signing up and TEMS is also welcome to join in.  If you are a chess buff and want to participate in the tournament, please pick up a registration form in the main office.

  • Generation Leadership students, you will have a lesson on Monday, March 19th.  Grade 7 will meet from 8:10 am – 9:30 am and Grade 8 will meet from 1:00 pm – 2:40 pm.  You will receive passes from your homeroom teachers Monday morning.

  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Chicken Tacos. In the Grill line you can have Crispy Fish Sandwich and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best, and remember to always strive for 5!
