  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 12.
  • The Lady Cougars hit the hardwood once against last night taking on the Lady Chargers of Windsor Middle School.  It was a rough start for TE as they trailed early in the contest 19-8.  However, with some timey shooting through Shea Brochu and Olivia Dzubin, the Lady Cougars clawed their way back into the game tailing only by one at halftime. Maria Puniello and Mia Haynes, contributed on both the offensive and defensive ends with timely rebounds and short jumpers around the rim.  They finished with 7 and 9 points respectively.  The third quarter is where the game turned around for TE.  Two threes by Dzubin and two clutch buckets by Brochu allowed the Lady Cougars to overtake the Chargers and never look back. TE was able to put the game to bed in the fourth quarter making four of six free throws along with two clutch buckets by Haynes.  TE take on East Hartford today after school as the Lady Cougars are trying to make it two in a row.  Good luck ladies!
