  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 6.
  • Last night the Lady Cougars crossed the border for a battle of unbeatens. Unfortunately, the Lady Cougars fell to the Ellington Wildcats, 29 to 28. It was a enjoyable game for the fans as it came down to the final seconds. TE had posted a 13 to 7 lead going into half time, but were unable to hold the lead in the end. Morgan Bridgeforth finished with 11 on the night, while Kai Grate added nine. Shea Brochu, Teagan Purcell and Emery Forko added 3, 3, and 2 points respectively. It was a tough game on both ends of the floor, as it was tough to find the bucket on the offensive end and equally hard to secure the ball defensively. It was clear though that these were the two best teams in the CRAL league and without and major hiccups, these two teams should meet in the finals. Good job ladies. Keep up the great work!
  • The TE Outdoor Education club is hosting a trip to South Windsor Arena to go ice skating. All students are welcome to come out and enjoy a session of skating with their friends. • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Wednesday January 6th.
  • The Lady Cougars basketball team was back in action last night taking on the JFK Patriots from Enfield.  TE was on fire to start the game and exploded to a 13-4 1st quarter lead.  Captains Erin Martin and Avery Brochu, who scored 10 points on the night, helped balance the attack, while Sam Roux and Mia Ruiz chipped in 4 points on the night.  Izzy Dzubin worked tirelessly on the boards and added 6 well deserved points, while Caroline Cavanaugh added 2.  Morgan Bridgeforth had 4 points and Kailyn Grate scored her first points at home by adding 6 to the Lady Cougars 42 points overall...The final score was 42-26 in favor of the Lady Cougars, a win that was well deserved.  Next game for the Lady Cougars is tonight at Ellington.  Good luck ladies.

  •  The boys' basketball team was able to get their first win of the season on Tuesday 54-30. A balanced offensive attack and a stifling defense led to a 42-12 halftime lead. The Cougars now have a record of 1-1.
