  • Today everyone will take the next “Having a Voice” survey in the google classrooms after announcements. Homeroom teachers, please remind students to complete the survey before they leave homeroom. Thank you!

  • In case you didn’t hear, we will be having Ryan Parker visit our school on Monday, February 24th!!! Who is Ryan Parker you ask? He is a Manchester based poet who has been influenced by the strength, wisdom and humor of his mom, love for hip hop and people.  Because of his personal frustrations with his own educational experiences as a kid, Ryan  promised himself he would  bring golden noise into education to make it fun and empower youth to have a voice. He will be bringing in some of that fun with him next Monday. CLICK HERE to get a sneak peak to who he is and what he has done, like the poetry slams he hosts. Be ready for some high energy fun, and who knows, maybe you’ll find out you are interested in something you never gave any thought to!

  • Attention Baseball Players: There will be a mandatory, informational baseball meeting on Wednesday, February 26th for those interested in trying out for the Timothy Edwards Middle School Baseball Team.  The meeting will take place in room 121 immediately after school and end at 3:30 PM.  Plan on getting picked up at 3:30 PM or take the 4 pm late bus home. Once again, the meeting will take place on February 26th.
  • Attention Athletes!  Spring Sports Registration in Power School Parent Portal is now open!! You will not be able to try out unless Registration is complete! The deadline is Friday, March 6th. Spring sports include baseball, softball and track and field. Any questions see Mr. S in the gym or Mrs. Stewart in the Main Office. 
  • Attention 7th grade Ambassadors:  There will be a lunch meeting on Monday, Feb 24 in the guidance office.  You will get passes in homeroom. 

  • Elijah McCoy - 1844 - 1929 (Inventor) - The son of former slaves from Kentucky who reached Canada on the Underground Railroad, Elijah McCoy was able to attend school in Edinburgh, Scotland to study mechanical engineering.  He had 57 patents, mostly working to improve steam engines, but never made much money for himself.  Others used Mr. McCoy’s inventions in theirs, making them millionaires.  His oil-drip cup invention was so amazing that people developed the term “The Real McCoy” to mean something original and of high quality.

  • Everyone going on the Outdoor Ed Snow Tubing trip to Powder Ridge today, please meet in Ms. Nelson's room 251 after school. Make sure to bring all of your stuff with you. 

  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Whole Grain French Toast Sticks, in the Grill line you can Have Italian Chicken Meatball Sub and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day and do your best to strive for five!
