  • Reader One: Good morning! Tired of drama with your peers or friends? Sick of hearing all of the gossiping? And what about the name-calling, spreading rumors, and/or arguments? Are you feeling left out? Or misunderstood? Experiencing troubles working in a group in class? If you are experiencing any of these problems, coming to Peer Mediation can help! Here’s what you need to do: Fill out a Peer Mediation Request form. Forms are located in most of the team areas, hallways, the main office, or counseling office. They are bright green so you can’t miss them! Deliver the completed form to Mrs. Zalaski in Rm. 211 OR to the main office and it will be placed in her mailbox. Once the form has been turned in, you and the others involved in the issue will receive a pass to come to Peer Mediation during lunch to work things out. Two trained mediators will help you through the process in a calm fashion and guide you to an agreed upon resolution to your conflict. These mediations are completely confidential so you will feel safe. A follow-up meeting will take place about a week after the mediation to insure the agreement is working and all parties are feeling good about the outcome.

  • The boys cross country team finished off a very successful season with a strong showing at the state meet on Sunday.  Great job racing by Matt Venzie, Travis Willcox, and Andres Anastasi, as they each took home medals for finishing in the top 50 of the B race.  In the championship race, the Cougars were led by Ares Savvides, who ran a smart race to finish as the 34th fastest runner in the state.  Aidan Walsh, and Sean Habeeb both finished in top 85 and Ollie Durbois, Colin Grip, Ben Tortora and Colin Turer all powered through the mud to help the boys finish as the 13th place team in the state.  Congratulations to the team for an undefeated regular season, the Harry Geraghty championship, and being an awesome team.   Please return your clean uniforms in a bag to Ms. Nelson's classroom, number 251.

  • A big congratulations to the girls cross country team for their great performances at the state meet!  The ladies came in 19th out of 49 teams and embraced the muddy conditions as they cruised through the course.  In the A race, TE's top 7 girls ran strong including Audrey Manning and Taylor Lord who both earned a medal as they finished in the top 50 coming in 36th and 47th place.  Kaitlyn Dempsky and Riley Baker represented TE well each holding their own, finishing in the top half of the fastest runners in CT.  Molly Caron, Alyssa Drenga, and Kavya Ramasamy all had excellent finishes as they killed the final hill on the course.  A job well done to Chiara Papa who fearlessly led the B race, finishing in 28th place of 290 runners.  Brooke Stapleton subbed in for a hurt athlete and ended up being the 3rd TE runner in the B race finishing in 88th.  A huge thank you to managers Eve Lagasse, Alyssa Mazzie, and Gianna Murray for all their help and team spirit throughout the season.  Another big thanks to Mr. Denker and Mrs. Baker for all their help at our meets.  All athletes may turn in their cleaned uniforms with their name on the bag to Coach Nelson in room 251 by the end of the week.  Please stay tuned for a day and time for our end of season party.  Great season to all runners!!
