  • Yesterday you received your flyer for the PTO Walk-A-Thon.  This is the only PTO fundraiser of the whole year! Your job is to raise money to help pay for fun activities such as the 6th grade jubilee, 7th grade Lake Compounce  and the 8th grade promotion. This year, the money raised is also going toward a fancy upgrade to the TETV News Equipment. If you didn’t already do this, here is what you need to do….visit the website that is listed on the flyer, you can also find the link on the TE website. With your parent or guardian, register.  Once you are registered, you are eligible for the weekly raffles that we will do here on the morning news.  You only have to register one time.  The raffle prizes include gift cards to Starbucks, Sweet Frog, Ben and Jerry's, the movies and Amazon… Once registered, your job is to get donations, as many as you can. There are prizes for getting a lot of donations:

The person who raises the most money will win $100!

The team who raises the most money will win a team pizza party

The grade that raises the most money will win an ice cream party

The Walk-A-Thon will take place on Oct 23rd.  Wear your team t-shirt. We will all walk on a course around TE and the elementary schools and then celebrate when we get back. Let’s make this the best Walk-A-Thon by earning the most money ever! Start bringing in those donations!

Raising over $1300 on our first day, our Walk-A-Thon is off to a great start!  Over 40 students have already signed up online and are on their way to helping raise money for our school!  Not registered yet? • Yesterday afternoon, the lady Cougars kicked off against East Hartford in a rainy match. The Cougars started off the match strong and proved to be relentless in their pursuit for a win. The lady Cougars tallied an astounding 7-0 win over their opponents. Strong midfield possession came from Emerson Iacovelli, Abby Peruccio, and Mikayla Evans. The flanks kept East Hartford on their toes with threatening crossing into the box from Leighana Ferrabelo, Chion Pollard, and Ritika Abburi. The game was one of 'firsts' as Katelyn Roux, Haley Testa, and Huntyr Courtois found the scoreboard for the first time this season. Additionally, 8th grader Emily Ledger tallied a wonderful goal off an assist from Sarah Gordon. Leading the pack with 3 points on the day was Lexi Lilly. Gordon posted a total of two assists on the day with additional assists coming from the feet of the strikers Elise Suffish and Katelyn Roux. Outstanding performance goes to Hailey Testa, Huntyr Courtois, and Megan Martin who played exceptional in the midfield and helped to secure the Cougar victory. Finally, Haley Butler was able to secure her second clean sheet of a season and posted one save on the day. The Cougars look forward to their next game at Sage Park on Thursday.
