  • Today is the official kick off of the TE Walk-a-thon!  The Walk-A-Thon replaces the cookie dough fundraiser that has been done in the past and will be the only PTO fundraiser this year.  You should receive a flyer containing everything you and your parents need to know about the Walk-A-Thon today.  Register online at thegetmovincrew.com to get started.  There are lots of exciting prizes and raffles for students that help make the fundraiser a success and we’ll be sharing updates with you along the way until the walk-a-thon takes place on October 17th.  Our first raffle is for all students that have raised $10 or more. You will be entered to win one of three $10 Starbucks gift cards that will be chosen during our raffle live next Tuesday morning, right here on the TETV News.  The earlier you register, the more chances you have to win, so be sure to register soon!! There are lots more exciting prizes and raffles to come so stay tuned!  
  • Attention All Historians: Come to a History Club meeting on Wednesday October 3rd in room 358 right after school. A representative from the Old State House will present information about HISTORY DAY 2019 with the theme "Triumph and Tragedy". All TEMS students are welcome to attend. For more information, see Mr. Smith-Horn in room 358. 
  • Any Ambassadors that are able to come in Thursday morning at 7:30 to help with the “Starts with Hello” program, please sign up in the guidance office.
  • Yearbook Club will hold its first meeting on Thursday, October 4th, room 123, right after school.  If you want to be involved in the Yearbook design choices, color choices, cover, and contents, we will begin right at this very first meeting. Be prepared to take the late bus, or have a ride home.
  • Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders: The Outdoor Education Club will be having three adventures this October.  First is a bike trip around Block Island on Saturday, October 13th.  Then, on October 17th we will take a hike at Case Mountain in Manchester, and the last trip is to Foster Farm for the corn maze and hayride on October 24th.  Please see Mr. Wilkinson in room 112 or Ms. Nelson in room 251 or stop by the main office if you’re interested in any of these trips. All are welcome!
  • Attention 6th graders: Peer Mediation is looking for 6th graders to be part of the amazing Peer Mediation team! Do you like to help friends solve their problems? Are you a good listener? Can you keep information confidential? If you are answering these questions with a yes then you should apply. You can get your Peer Mediation application in Peer Mediation Room 211, the office, or the guidance counselor’s office. The application deadline has been extended to October 5th but please apply soon!!!!  
  • Attention 8th Graders:  After School Intramural Basketball will begin on Monday, October 1st.  If interested, please pick up a packet from your PE teacher, the front office, or in Room 262.  You must have all forms signed and returned to Room 262 in order to participate. Registration is open to the first 24 students to bring in their signed forms.   
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Chicken Tenders. In the Grill line you can have Pizza Burger and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best and remember to always strive for 5!
