  • Looking for a place to hang out with your friends? TEMS students are welcome at the SW Teen Center on Friday nights from 6:00-9:15 pm.  The teen center has games you can play, activities, pool tables, foosball and air hockey.  Snacks are available to purchase.  Parents must fill out a registration form when they drop you off.  This Friday 9/20 is opening night.  Hope to see you there!

  • The lady Cougars made their debut away yesterday afternoon vs Illing. The Cougars dominated play and took away the victory 8-0. Arden Samson led the score sheet with a hat trick and one assist on the day. Leighana Ferrabelo, Katelyn Roux, both slotted two on the day, and Emerson Iacovelli rounded out the total with an amazing corner kick that swerved in around the goalkeeper. Additional assists came from Sidney Montana and Leighana Ferrabelo. Play of the game came from the goal keeper Haley Butler who assisted Samson off an amazing punt through the Illing defense. Outstanding play came from Hailey Testa, Huntyr Courtois, Mikayla Evans, Ritika Abburi, as well as superb passing from Isabelle Beaulieu, Sam Grodovich, and Elise Suffish. Players making their debut in the Cougar uniform included Julia Jaworski, Ashley Zanelli, Christianna Macchi, Mia Ruiz, Sam Roux, Cassie Polansky, and Ava Hapkiewicz. The Lady Cougars look forward to seeing you at our first home game this Thursday vs Tolland.

  • Attention all band students: Please report directly to the auditorium for class today.  Please bring your Chromebook and headphones.  You will need headphones to complete the assignment.  Mr. Marci's Music Matrix class should report directly to their usual music matrix room.
  • Attention all TEMS band, orchestra or chorus students wishing to be a part of the award winning TEMS Jazz Ensemble;  audition music is now available.  Band members should log onto Google Classroom for information, while orchestra and chorus students should see their music teacher for the Jazz Band Google Classroom code.  Hurry, auditions are next week!  The band has a special need for piano players who take private lessons.  If that sounds like you - please audition!
  • All students who are interested in working on the 2020 TEMS Yearbook should stop by Ms. Gravell's room, 123, for an application. Our first meeting of the year will be next Monday, September 23rd, right after school in room 123. We will be choosing the cover design for the book at that first meeting!

  • The TE boys soccer team was in action last night taking on the Illing Rams of Manchester.  It was a gorgeous day for a game and the home team didn't disappoint.  Jake Gattuso led off the scoring onslaught six minutes into the contest.  Mason Layaw then assisted on a ball to Monteserin just one minute later making it 2-0.  Vaughn Bizier added a third before half time.  In the second half, Gattuso found the net two more times and Monteserin added his second of the game.  Illing score off a penalty in the second half but didn't trouble returning keeper Joey Bemis in goal that often.  The Cougars play on Thursday night at Tolland in the CRAL.
  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Chicken Nuggets, in the Grill line you can have Turkey Hot Dog and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a good day and do your best to strive for five!

  • Attention 8th Graders:  After School Intramural Basketball will begin on Monday, October 1st.  If interested, please pick up a packet from your PE teacher, the front office, or in Room 262.  You must have all forms signed and returned to Room 262 in order to participate. Registration is open to the first 24 students to bring in their signed forms.   
  • The lady Cougars faced off against fierce opponents Tolland in their home opener yesterday afternoon. The game proved to be a tough match against a strong opponent as the Cougars lost 5-0. In the first half, the Cougar's tried to get a rhythm as Abby Peruccio and Emerson Iacovelli linked together numerous passes. Amazing defensive performances came from Megan Martin, Sidney Montana, Hailey Testa, and Huntyr Courtois. Rounding out the wing backs was Anna Matus and Chion Pollard, who with the support of the Haley Butler in goal, helped hold Tolland to only 1 goal by halftime. In the second half, Lexi Lilly, Emily Ledger, Katelyn Roux, and Sarah Gordon created a handful of chances, and did an amazing job pressuring the Tolland defense. The Cougars displayed hustle throughout the second half with great tackles from 6th grader's Elise Suffish and Ritika Abburi. Additional opening day highlights came from Leighana Ferrabelo, Mikayla Evans, and Iniya Raja, as the trio helped to halt countless Tolland attacks. Goalkeeper's Haley Butler and Catherine Downes totaled 14 saves on the day. Overall, it was a hard-fought game for the Cougars as they look forward to their first away game on Thursday at 3:30 against Illing. 
  • The Boys Soccer team were in action last night taking on Tolland. The boys came out a touch flat allowing the Falcons time and space thus leading to four goals for the opponent. TE picked it up in the second half led by Xavier Crane and Aadi Dey. Scoring for the cougars was Dey from the penalty spot and Kiran Francis on a follow up in front of the goal. Next game for TE is Thursday after school.
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Cheese Bread Sticks. In the Grill line you can have Meatball Sub and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best and remember to always strive for 5!
