TE Morning News - October 8, 2019 
  • Attention all 7th and 8th Grade TEMS band members, please bring your Chromebooks with you to band today.  We will be using them to sight read some new music during class.  Please don't forget.

  • Attention 6th graders...6th grade intramural basketball is beginning soon.  If you are interested, please pick up a registration packet in the main gym and return to Mrs. Hall or Mr. S by Friday, October 11th.  Registration is only open to the first 32 students.  The first session is October 16th.  

  • Wondering about MathCounts? - Wonder no more.  We will have our first get together Friday, October 25.  Ask your math teacher for an informational flyer.  Stay tuned for a lot more MathCounts information in coming days.  
  • Yesterday the TE field hockey team took a win against Mabel Avery middle school of Sommers with a score of 7-2. Rachel Turrer led the team in goals with 4 followed by Avery Yelley with two and Haily Deptula with 1. Jillian Yele, Sarah Stoddard and Gabby Ryan each had an assist. Abby Bergstrom, Kaitlyn Hardy and Isabelle Goodrich controlled the midfield. Kaitlyn Bullock, Avery Vensus, Avery Pelczar were defensive standouts with Elsa Gately making 4 saves in goal. Today TE faces a very strong Granby team at home. Come out to cheer on the Cougars!

  • Attention all skiers and snowboarders: are you interested in joining the TEMS Ski and Snowboard Club trips to Mount Southington this winter?  If so, please see Mrs. Baker in room 362 or register online at the South Windsor Recreation Department.  Again, skiers and boarder register today at the rec department for skiing and riding at Mount Southington - there are only a few spots left!

  • Attention all 7th and 8th Grade Peer Mediators: We WILL be meeting today at lunch. See you then!

  • The Outdoor Education Club has three fall trips coming up.  Our first trip is on October 15th to the Foster Farm corn maze, which includes two mazes, a hay ride, and pizza all for $7!  October 23rd we will do a hike on Case Mountain in Manchester, and on November 6th we’ll hike at Valley Falls Park in Vernon.  To get a form, stop by the main office, or see Mr. Wilkinson in room 112 or room 258, or see Ms. Nelson in room 251. We welcome all people (new and returning) and who knows… you might get a free outdoor ed. t-shirt if you are the first to sign up!

  • Today for lunch in the Create line you can have Pasta with Meatballs, in the Grill line you can have Philly Cheese Steak and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a good day and do your best to strive for five!
