TE Morning News - 5/9/18
  • Good Morning TEMS -  I’d like to acknowledge students who have done something pretty special.  These students wanted to be a part of a Lego/Robotics club but since TEMS does not offer this, they took it upon themselves to start one and have a group of parents be their coaches.  They worked hard at night and on the weekend and made it to the World Festival.  There they placed second among 150 teams representing Connecticut.  They even got to hang out with members of our SWHS Robotics Team.  Congratulations to the following students:  Sivani Arvapalli, Tracy Doan, Vrishab Murali, Aarav Nair, Daniel Wang, Michael Ngo, Pranav Ramesh, Samarth Masarur, Sidarth Masarur – your perseverance displays your extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit.  Please come to the Main Office to see Mrs. Larson following announcements.
  • On another note, attention MathCounts students.  You are all invited to attend the May 22nd Board of Education Meeting at TEMS ALT 6 – beginning at 7:00 pm.  Mr. Denker, Mrs. Goldman, Mr. Smith Horn and I will be there as Dr. Carter will spotlight all MathCounts Club participants.
  • Be ready to come see your friends on stage as they perform for TE’s Got Talent.  The show will feature singing, dancing, magic, and more.  TE’s Got Talent takes place on Wednesday, June 6th.  Tickets will be on sale soon!!
  • Lost and found is calling. Bins are full and it is coming to the end of the year, so please check for lost or missing items this week in the main lobby, after this week items will no longer be on display. So again come and check the lost and found in the main lobby.
  • The athletics department will be offering tennis intramurals after school, starting May 16.  The program will run for 2 weeks, and will focus on match play.  If you are interested, please pick up a registration form in the gym locker rooms.  Registration is limited to 20 students.  Any questions, see Mrs. Hall.
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have pasta with meatballs. In the Grill line you can have chicken nuggets and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches.
  • Have a great day, do your best – remember testing is taking place so be respectful and quiet as you walk the hallways to and from class and ALWAYS STRIVE FOR FIVE!
