  • The softball team had an amazing win yesterday over Sage Park Middle School, beating them 10 to 6. TE was down 4 to 5 going into the bottom of the 5th, but started a rally with the top of the order.  Lila Sheridan hit a triple and scores shortly after that on a pass ball to tie the game.  The next three batters, Amanda Donovan, Alivia Ghila, and Daphne Specht walk to load the bases.  Up comes third baseman Gemma Duhamel to plate and hits a grand slam to make it 9 to six.  Kendall Woods chipped in with a single and ended up scoring off of Josie Tomkunas single, to make it 10 to 6.  Cassidy Cole and Meghan Donovan helped with a single each. Pitcher Josie Tomkunas played her best game so far and had 6 strikeouts.  Congratulations ladies!
  • The TEMS baseball team travelled to Windsor yesterday to take on Sage Park. Tom Melia pitched a great game for the Cougars...giving up 4 hits and only 2 runs while going the distance on the mound.  The Cougars could not get the timely hitting they badly needed and fell to Sage by a score of 2 to 0.  Offensively, TE was led by Camden Lewie with 2 singles.  Lewie also made a diving catch in the 5th inning to save a run from scoring.  Nick Gombotz ripped a triple to center field and Bennett Durbois added a single in the loss.  TE plays next at East Hartford on Thursday.
