  • Congrats to our girl's track team on their AMAZING first track meet!  On Wednesday, the girls headed to Manchester to battle Illing, winning the meet 55-32. Each girl did their best- with many girls achieving their personal best.  Not only that, but multiple girls broke into our TE TOP TEN Record book! CONGRATS to Ella Danielle, who now holds the 9th place spot in the Long Jump with a jump of 13'9". And the 4x800 team consists of Greta Johnson, Kiran Thacker, Ali Kupec, and Aleska Zajac, who now hold 3rd place with a time of 11 minutes and 1 second. Another shout out to our girls' 4x100 team: Morgan Bridgeforth, Ella Daniele, Kyla Levy, and Zoe Bailey, which took 1st place with a time of 55.73. Overall, it was a wonderful day. The Lady Cougars' next meet is at home on Monday. Good luck, girls!
  • On Wednesday, the Boys Track and Field Team traveled to Manchester High School to compete against Illing.  After only 5 practices, the boys made a valiant effort, but came up short, losing 24-76.  Illing was able to sweep multiple events, but the TE boys had some strong showings.  Luis L earned 1st place in the Long Jump with a jump of 17 feet.  He also cracked the TE Top Ten.  Liam S had one of his best jumps, earning 2nd place in the Long Jump.  Jeff Z had a strong day for the distance group, finishing 1st in the 800 meter run and 2nd in the mile run.  Alex L ran a great 400, finishing 3rd overall.  Aniron P placed 3rd in Shot Put and Carter G was the top discus thrower for TE in his first ever competition.  The boys go up against JFK and Tolland on Monday at home at South Windsor High School.  If you're around, come out and check out the meet! Go Cougars!
